I grew up with this method, for 5 years now my wife only cooks the fried method, I enjoy the fried method alot but I miss this cooking method of no frying. Lemme give her a taste today using this method. Will come back to testify of the outcome.. thanks ify
I grew up with the fry method. This is currently my best and go to recipe for egusi. You're my new favourite food blogger. Love your recipes! In fact I'm cooking this now
I learnt to fry egusi as an adult. My mum Didn’t cook egusi soup frying method. This was the method she used. She’s about 80 years old now, so I don’t know if women in her time fried egusi.
Ever since I started watching your content like I most say you’re amazing like seriously I have learn a lot from you❤, the fried you make helped me on Christmas I did the same I was in the kitchen cooking and watching 😂 your content you’re amazing keep it up 🫶💕
This is me when I was cooking the oghono recipe omg everyone is just praising the soup. And guess what that was my first time cooking it . She is really doing well for us. God bless you mama ❤❤. More knowledge
WOW Chef Ify 👩🏾🍳🤶🏽, your Egusi soup looks amazingly yummy and will taste Sensational 😋. Well done done Chef Ify 👩🏾🍳 👏🏽👏🏽Happy Sunday to you and your family God bless you all in abundance m. Amen. 🎅🏿🥂🍾🎄🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁💖💖🙏🏽😎🥳🎈🍰🍰
Can someone please write the name of the green veggies in English for me or the native names that was described. I'll appreciate it very much. And can this soup be made with seafood only? Thanks guys. I have yet to try Nigerian food. Hopefully soon. Except for the meat dye to not eating meat of any kind. Can I have name if the Egusi in English as well. I need to look for it in USA 😊
Egusi is called melon 🍈 in English. Ugu leaf is called Vegetable leaf in English. But that of uzuza leaf, I don't know what it's called in English but its very nice in soup and has good aroma too.
Has anyone ever mixed the Egusi paste with raw egg, just like the way she made her Egusi paste with water, but you add raw egg instead before forming into little balls. When it’s cooked it will be lumps of Egusi instead of puréed egusi.Delicious.Anyway each to their own though.🤷🏽♀️

Kpomo will be too soft by the time the soup is ready. Kpomo and the other meat have different texture so kpomo have to go last. No bitter leaf?
Pls what is ozuza leaf ?
Uziza leaves
The name is Uziza leaf. The scientific name is Piper guineese
No salt?

Uziza Leaves (Cubeb Pepper, Piper guineense). Also known as 'Hot Leaf'
Ugu leaves are fluted pumpkin leaves
Pumpkin leaves and hot leaves

How do you people put too much pepper and it is not hot? Only one small yellow pepper and people complain of too much pepper
You come over stir the soup like porridge
No vex
Hello
Ify you just posted this for beginners after I nearly blundered mine😢😂
Edit: my sis wan cut my head😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 no vex. The next one will be 👍
You used too much seasoning and egusi that is not well cooked can make you purge. Frying method is still the best.
She didn't leaving it covered is cooked well enough my naija husband loves this method
Too much seasoning
