If you’ve ever made a big life change, what’s one piece of advice you’d give? I'd love to hear about your journey!

One major life change for me was from being an introvert to open up to the world and stop being afraid to share my mind, heart and soul.. the folks who don't like me...fine..then let them move on..and don't sweat it ..and to those I connect with..cherish them ! My advice is to not be afraid to show yourself to the world..otherwise nobody or very few will see the light that lies within !!!

Incredible video! I've just found this channel and I love it!
I can relate because I used to work at a good academy and have a great salary, but I quit a couple of years ago and started teaching on my own... The beginning was tough, but now I have a lot of regular students and I make the same income I used to and I have complete control over my time :)

That's awesome, congrats for getting there! How did you stay motivated along the way before you managed to meet the same income? Welcome to the club haha :)

@@karaebelofficialHonestly I didn't stay motivated the whole time. I had many days when I wondered if leaving my job was a good idea. But I just kept going and over time things got better! Thank you!!

This video is absolutely great !!!! for many reasons ... 1. Loved how candid you are about the transition from lawyer to entrepreneur ... you even mentioned the financial data from your previous job as a lawyer then your current earnings... 2. Your coolness about the process/journey you are going through and what others can expect if they decide go on a similar journey of starting all over again in a different field...3. The fact you mentioned identity attached to a previous job !!! so true...someone told me a long while ago about social networking..about how almost every person within a couple of minutes in a chat with another person asks what the person do for a living.. the fellow then told me to get to the real identity of the person is to ask instead what do they do for fun ? what hobbies do they have ? what are their passions ? then one can see the other person opening up about their true selves !!! To me life is an adventure ..like an Indiana Jones film ! so is vital to do research, get and study the data, have a plan or strategy and then execute with all of ones might !!! Thank You for sharing content that is valuable and inspiring ...keep up the great work !!!

Thanks JJ! I really appreciate your detailed thoughts here. I completely relate to what you say about sharing your job title within the first 10 seconds of a conversation. I think about that often. Thanks for watching and sending all my best! 🙂

Hey your videos are really helpful! I just graduated law school and am thinking taking more risks travelling & exploring entrepreneurial ventures but have this fear it'll set me behind in my legal career and life in general and that the otherside may not be worth it in the end. How do you navigate the the internal conflict between security and something that you are longing for. Thank you!

Glad to hear it! The way to navigate these questions is often to get very specific. Have you had a chance to define what it is that you're specifically longing for?
When it comes to fears, it's also helpful to get specific. Saying this is "going to put me back" in my career is very vague, which tends to trigger more fears in us. You could instead ask yourself, "how is this going to put me back in my career?" And "do I care?"
As a general rule of thumb, it is easier to explore when you're younger because you have less responsibilities. But you're saying you've just graduated law school so it's an interesting time to want to explore.
      Why now?
What directions would you like to explore?
Are they law-related or not at all?
Let me know. Maybe we can make some more sense of it :)

YOU lost your identity. don't project your experience onto others and act like its the universal truth when its not.
