      Ali and tyson? really ? Ali would demolish Tyson in both their primes, Ali fought 2 of the Top 5 boxers of all time (to me at least, Frazier and Foreman). Who did Tyson fight in that range, well he did, and he lost, seriously Tyson to me was the pound for pound heaviest hitter but he got screwed by Don King always putting him up against these "fair" boxers...th he fought Frank Bruno (probably his best opponent but far from a great) 1st real fight he had was against Hollyfield. cmon i understand the passion but let's not confuse it with reality...

      @@X35C Frazier was the pre-cursor to Tyson, shorter heavy handed and he gave Ali the fight of his life on their primes, i even think that Frazier (not the fluke of his brother Marvin) vs Tyson on their primes, Frazier would demolish Tyson, not because he hit harder but because he could take it like Tyson never could, you just have to see the "Thrilla in Manilla", it shows, again Tyson never had to go to distance, Tyson had crystal chin boxing wise, its facts, im not making things up !

  • @GhostDrummer
    @GhostDrummer Год назад +52

    Say what you will about his destructive behavior outside the ring after Cus passed and he got swindled by Don King and Robin Givens (and her mom), the inspiration he gave (and still gives) to people who weren’t even boxers/fighters is undeniable.
    Regarding those neck rolls Tyson was doing…great stretching and strength building exercises. I don’t recall which interview/podcast I watched with him talking about it, but those actually messed his neck up later in life.
    The rolls helped strengthen Tyson’s neck, however the advances in sports medicine have shown there are better ways to strengthen neck muscles without causing damage to the vertebrae/nerves further down the road.
    I’m not questioning Cus’s training knowledge, nor am I a doctor or sports trainer, but I’ve had injuries to my neck in 1993 and 2009 that went untreated for years. I’ve researched strength training exercises because of those injuries.
    I eventually had two ACDF surgeries at C6/C7 (2021 and 2022) to help elevate the pain from vertebrae grinding, degenerative/ruptured disks, and nerve impingement.

    I understand this is your bro energy sports channel, but if you invite someone on screen, you have a responsibility to your audience to at very least acknowledge your guest's point of view. To that end, I'm not going to pull punches with my observations.
    *First, buy your wife a mic. You can barely hear what she's saying, so if the context is about her reaction then she's the main focus, and her voice is as important as yours.
    *Second, her first reaction was "I hate watching this", and your condescending response was "You better grow up Erika". Clearly it sailed over your head in the moment, but she was expressing her grown up discomfort there. You might as well said "Shut up sissy. I'm the star MVP here so play this game my way". Throughout this vid, it's obvious she's uncomfortable, and your ego made it look like you set her up to be your timid little party fool. She's sitting there alone like a goldfish in a bowl for everyone's amusement, so job well done tough guy.
    *Third, If the subject is Mike's insane skill and aggression as a fighter, that should be the larger main screen, because it's not about your inflated ego front and center telling us what you think about it.
    *Forth, Your wife is your partner so you should always have her back. You don't need to protect her feelings, but rather than muting her point of view with your own subjective perspective, you should have been explaining Mike's crazy speed, athleticism, and skill so Erika might better understand what you see in it.
    IM (not so) HO, this would have been a much more compelling and informative vid without your childishly selfabsorbed grandstanding. I speak from the experience of competing in Judo from the age of 7 with 9 regional championships in 4 age divisions, being married 33 years, I've also been a HUGE Tyson fanboy for 37 years, which is why I'm here.
    So my advice little bro, put on your big britches and grow up, because you can act like a man and still treat your beautiful wife with respect. It took me 5 years to figure that one out, so don't take it personal. I'm giving you the playbook for the best recovery and score I ever made.

    I'm not sure about now but back then you didn't get paid jack unless you held the title. The desire to take that belt is where the money came from. The Tyson Holyfield fight that Buster Douglas interrupted was scheduled to pay 27 million which would be the first time Ali's record purse of 21 million was exceeded. Of course Douglas changed all that but still around that time, 20 plus million became fairly standard for a title fight. Another fyi., Tyson was once thought to be among the ten richest people on earth and should have been according to tax records and match purses but had to file bankruptcy due to Don Kings sticky fingers, something Ali and many other great boxers learned the expensive way.

    What do you do with a dog with no legs? Take him for a drag. Tyson said he'd eat your children, lol.

    Tyson and his original group of people and trainers were his family. They loved him, looked after him, and took care of him. Him kissing Jim is nothing, no different then kissing a family member
