    Kobe Bryant
    Hidden Gem Full Highlights (Rare)
    LA Lakers vs Houston Rockets
    November 12, 2000
    Staples Center
    - 37 pts, 10r, 2a, 3s / 12-29 fg, 1-1 3pt, 12-15 ft
This was the Lakers’ 7th game of their 2000-01 title defending campaign; they were 3-3 heading into it. Kobe started the season a bit slow. Maybe some championship hangover? Probably not. Likely a rhythm thing. Through the first 6 games, he was at 22.5p, 4r and 4a albeit logging 41.0 mpg. That would soon change. Houston was the first of 12 teams Kobe would face among the next 14 games. Kobe proceeded to average 33.1p, 6.0r and 5.0a on 49-37-90 (%) from this November 12th Rockets matchup to his 51 points in Oakland on December 6th. The Lakers went 11-3 in that span. I’m guessing Kobe was aware of his slow start.
The Carl’s Jr commercial at halftime is intentional.
“Don’t bother me. I’m eating.” Classic.

I feel you...but even before he retired, when he tore his achilles in 2013, it was the begging of the end because his last three years were painful to watch : he was never close to being the same and I knew we had no chance of winning another title.
From 08 to 2010 when he won his first and only MVP (I think he got robbed in 2003 and 2006) and back to back titles in 3 trips to finals, Kobe made me live the happiest and most exiting years of my life as a basketball fan. I enjoyed watching him putting these amazing individual performances in 06 and 07 but those 3 years were something else because we were winning.
