      Whew, just a bit of an upgrade for sure! What trim level of the Escape did you pick up? Here are some other useful videos for you:

    I have the ST Line with a mixed bag of the tech I can use. I have the Tech 1 pkg, but not the Tech 2. So, I have the 13.5" screen in the middle and the Adaptive Speed Control, but only the 8 inch instrument cluster, which is pretty plain looking. Was hoping I could customize the gauges more than what's there, but it is what it is. I do like the ST Line though. Has a sporty look and feel. In past Escapes, 2015, 2017, and 2021, I had the 2.0 engine. This has the 1.5, but it still has plenty of power and little better gas mileage. And it also has a little sporty sound when accelerating. Thanks for the videos, Steve. Very informative.

      Thanks James! Great to hear from someone who has owned Escapes in the past but also dropped to the 1.5L. Sounds like you're enjoying the new ride overall. How do you like the larger media screen compared to your last one?

    Hey Steve thanks for the videos. I have a hybrid with the 8” display. Any idea how to pull up the hybrid power indicator?

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  Год назад

      You're welcome! You should see the power indicator on the left side of the hybrid. You'll have the temp gauge on the far left and the hybrid power gauge just to the right of that

    On the hybrid / PHEV Escape models, can the “left gauge” setting be set to show EV power instead of just nothing or tachometer?

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  9 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately not.. there isn't much customization flexibility with the Escape cluster

    • @PlanetLinuxChannel
      @PlanetLinuxChannel 9 месяцев назад

      @@CarsWithSteve Was just curious since in your video, the options within the “Left gauge” menu were “None” and “Tachometer”. Thought there might be a Power option in that same menu on Hybrids.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  9 месяцев назад +1

      There are a few things that can customized differently in hybrids but full customization would be great. Here's a review video on the PHEV Escape ruclips.net/video/LWltF9_MkEw/видео.html
      I cover off the cluster and HUD around the 14 min mark of that video

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  11 месяцев назад

      You could do a cluster screen swap if you really wanted to but for the added cost it probably wouldn't make sense. What is it about the larger screen you don't like?

    • @agak61
      @agak61 11 месяцев назад

      @@CarsWithSteveIt is more expensive of course. It covers the view a little. I also live in a hot state so I’m afraid it will heat up more? I’m afraid that It will need more playing with while driving since all controls are on it. I don’t like the silver startup button but I like the location of it ;) All these little things are in one but not the other so it’s hard to decide

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  11 месяцев назад

      Doubt you'll notice a difference in heat on the screen between the larger and smaller one. Climate is a concern for some people though.. but the Escape has a voice assistant that lets you change up the temp. It takes a bit of getting used to but it's really useful once you get the hang of it

    Nice just got my 23” STLine Escape with Tech pac #1 300a Group with Cold weather AWD and 13.2 Screen How do I get the navigation on the digital cluster? Let’s say I want to search for restaurants I’m sure they should be able to do it.? But I can’t find out how to do it I believe I have sync 4A

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  Год назад +1

      The smaller 8" digital cluster doesn't have the option to display navigation options... Here's a full walk through on that cluster: ruclips.net/video/5-kmSrSA07Y/видео.html

    Everytime I turn the car on I have to press OK to turn off seatbelt reminder even if my seatbelt is on. Annoying

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  9 месяцев назад

      You can technically disable the warning... it's a bit of a process but here's how it's done:
      Start by setting the parking brake, make sure you're in park (P), with the ignition off, all doors closed and unfasten the driver and front passenger seatbelts.
      1. Switch the ignition on without starting the engine (don't press the brake)
      2. Wait about one minute until the seatbelt warning light switches off. After Step 2, wait an additional five seconds before proceeding with Step 3. Once you start Step 3, you must complete the procedure within 30 seconds.
      3. For the seating position you are switching off, fasten then unfasten the seatbelt three times at a moderate speed, ending in the unfastened state. After Step 3, the seatbelt warning light switches on
      4. When the seatbelt warning light is on, fasten then unfasten the seatbelt. After Step 4, the seatbelt warning light flashes for confirmation
