Steve your reviews are extremely helpful. I was able narrow it down to exactly what I needed without paying for any extra features. We went with the Ford Escape ST-Line Select 2.0L AWD with Tech 2 Package. The insane engine power, AWD, full digital gauge screen, 13.2" touchscreen, 360 camera, AMAZING 10 Speaker B&O sound system with HD radio. We were considering the Lincoln Corsair, but by watching your video's detailing both cars, we realized that we could save thousands by getting the Escape and still be completely happy. Your videos are perfect in every way. Video AND audio is high quality and content is always exactly what people need to know about the model. You make it look effortless, but I can tell a lot goes into producing reviews of this quality. Thanks for getting this informaiton out there.
Thanks so much, really appreciate the kind words! It does take quite a bit to get these videos put together so it's awesome to hear this kind of feedback. Thank you! The ST-Line is a great ride and good call on the 2.0L! Which color did you end up choosing for yours?
That 2.0l turbo is a fantastic engine. I really like the latest updates on the Escape, and find it interesting that the ST Line has expanded into multiple sub trims. Obviously they have a really good mix of features in the ST Line trim.
It really is a great engine! I was surprised about Ford’s call to do that to with the sub trims - bit of refining will probably happen. I like the all black interior vs the mixed interior in the other trims. What trim are you a bigger fan of?
@@CarsWithSteve I really like the sportiness of the ST Line trims. Getting some upscale options in there in the Select is pretty awesome. So that's the one I'd go for.
Love your videos Steve!! So informative and it really helps a salesperson like me with product knowledge. I can't believe that it's only September and we can't factory order any more 2023 Ford Escapes.
Thanks Matthew, appreciate that! Good to know these videos help out sales people too. How long have you been in the Ford world for? Haha crazy that the year is almost over but they're letting you take factory orders for 2024 models right?
@@CarsWithSteve I'm not sure if ordering open for 2024 models. I would guess we could place an order but until there was allocation from Ford, it wouldn't vin'd.
Allocation makes sense! Good to have different experience, it's helpful helping people compare if they have questions. If you ever end up shooting vids, send em my way to check out!
ActiveX seems to have held up well so far in Ford vehicles with that option. It would come to an ethical choice really.. do you prefer synthetic or true leather?
Thanks for a thorough review of the 2023 Ford Escape STLine Select. Around timestamp 16:53 when you described the rear view mirror, what is that black circle piece that’s kind of above to the left? I was told that it is a camera but I can’t find any information about it?
Great review as always Steve. Picked up my new 2024 Edge ST line today , nicest car I have ever owned. Question on the Edge , I see there is a funnel in the rear storage by the spare tire but where is the bottle for the rear washer fluid ?? That's what I assume what it is for and even using Google I couldn't find any info. Am I missing something ?
Thanks John, appreciate that! Exciting about the new ride, great to hear that you’re loving it. The funnel is for the gas tank in case you’re filling up using a Gerry can! As for the rear wiper fluid.. the car actually pulls front and rear from the same reservoir
@@CarsWithSteve Thanks Steve , I was wondering why I couldn't find a reservoir for the rear washers.....LOL. Was spending some time yesterday with notes from your tutorial getting familiar with all the things screen related, It's quite the system ! I have to get used to just leaving the fob in my pocket now as I don't need to touch it , I'm so used to the old button fob and ign. key system so it's quite a change and that as well as other things will take some getting used to. BTW , my old car was a 2005 Ford Five Hundred Limited AWD...excellent car and served me very well.
You're welcome! That's probably a good thing to mention every now and then in the videos though. It's so neat having the intelligent access system, good to hear that you're picking up what you need to know and you're enjoying it
I can't see Ford getting rid of a cost effective product without some kind of replacement. They need a $35k electric that would replace the Escape or Edge before they're both written off

We went with the grey, with the upgraded wheels. Great monotone look.

I agree. I ordered the 2.0 ST Line select and can’t wait

@@CarsWithSteve I do short videos about fresh trades we get at the dealership. I could send one of those your way. How would I send them?
In YOUR opinion would suggest the Full Leather seats OR the ActiveX? How does the ActiveX hold up?

Does the select have adaptive cruise control?
When you get Tech Pack 1 it does
Get rid of the red makes it look horrible. Other than that nice Car
You'd probably like the Platinum trim level ;)
The Escapes will be discontinued in 2025 as well as the Edges. Ford wants to go all electric!
