    1:37 Res means Resume. if for some reason you disengage the cruise by stepping on the brake, the RES button will restart the cruise at the last speed it was set too.
    Be careful when you last set Cruise in the highway. And you press Res in town. Youll be accelerating through a school zone 😅

    Steve - thank you for this great video. Do you have one that explains more about the way in which the Escape Hybrid illustrates its power use? I have been observing the left-hand circle in the cluster (the one with that has battery and engine block symbols at the centre), but I am not sure how to interpret the bars that extend around the circle.

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  Год назад +2

      You're welcome! In the hybrids that left hand circle is all about power! It's known as the Power Gauge and it displays the total power going towards the wheels. When you slow down the gauge would display the power captured by the regenerative braking system
      So the 0 - 100 would show 0 at rest and then go up to 100 depending on power that's being used!

    Hi this is the closest video I can find to explain some of the items on the dash. My wife is an owners manual kind of person and that is super small and doesn;t answer her questions ...and I hear even that will be gone next year. Her question is this....on the dashboard in the middle while I am driving this thing changes from hybrid to electirc to charging. What is the difference between hybrid and electric. It changes so often and quickly that she dont know if she likes seeing this screen. But I cant find an explanation so maybe she wants to see this screen????

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  Год назад

      Hey John, printed manuals are becoming a thing of the past in Ford and Lincoln vehicles because the Sync 4 screen has a built in owner's manual. I do actually like getting those 400 pg books on a new car though.
      With the plugin hybrid a "hybrid" drive mode is where the vehicle will keep switching between the battery, gas engine or just acceleration support based on what the vehicle needs. EV means that the vehicle is being driven just by the battery. The reason it switches is because you're probably set to an auto mode where the vehicle determines your mode.
      If you go through the media screen drive modes you can select which EV mode you're in based on which drive mode you've selected. I just put out a video on the plugin Escape that goes over the media screen highlights: ruclips.net/video/LWltF9_MkEw/видео.html
