Gareth Coker and the team did a wonderful job with this soundtrack. I love Aberrations soundtrack but this... Ohoho this is a keeper. I love how some biomes have seriously intense themes while others have a theme similar to that of Aberration and Extinction combined (ex; Lunar Biome, Lunar Biome Light, Spawn-In, etc.) The buildup in these pieces is great as well. It does a great job with how it wants you to feel, or how you should feel. Bog Biome is a natural threat. Despite being logged as a safe area, it's reminiscent of how Aberrations Portal spawn location was the 'easiest area.' The Ocean Biome is safe for the most part until you explore what's beneath the islands and fight the Moeder (I think it's optional for VR Rockwell? Never did a legit run and never got it on my solo Homo-Deus Record.) The Volcanic Biome wants you to feel fear as you go around pretty much fighting for your life with sticks and stones until you become highly advanced. Basilisks and Allosaurus are constantly forcing you to find new areas for settlement, but once you've mastered this biome, things become a lot easier in my opinion. Lunar is a technological space wonder, I like to think of it as Gareth Cokers dreams of Aberrations Surface being more explorable with an entire solar system outside of its ARK, despite being next to earth. I can't wait for Genesis: Part 2 to come out, and while I'm not yet ready for this game to come to a close with its DLCs, I can say if they crank out another masterpiece of a soundtrack like this again, I'll be the most anxious kid in the world to listen to it.
I actually never really listened to Gen 1 music as much as I listened to other ARK themes. I love it, but I still prefer probably all the other maps. But it’s hard to judge with the base game and gen 2 having a lot more music and scorched, aberration and extinction having a lot less.

Has he said anything about the DLC maps because I always wondered after he said that the credits for Extinction was partly orchestrated and partly had cuts from the Island.
Wait... I actually like it, it give an atmospheric chase where you must kill, the second part feels very triuphet and chase as you scramble to get the final codes to defeat THE MASTER!!!

I feel Aberration is to me personally the best map, but Gen 1's soundtrack is the one thing that beats Aberration
