I think this was a great video for beginners I am a minecraft pro and that is the RIGHT way i would survive my first night in PC or Pocket editions of minecraft.

I already know how to play minecraft, but I was looking back at genny's old episodes and I found this. This is the closest to a let's play series and I'm surprisingly really enjoying it. Thanks genny (I am aware your probably never gonna see this but) I was really bored till I saw this :D

i remember when first saw tutorials for minecraft. everyone always flipped out at night because of the montsers that spawned, but i never saw them. so when i played i was so creeped out because everyone seemed to be legit scared. i used to NEVER go outside at night lol
I have recently got this for my son, i am a keen gamer but was unsure what to do on this game. this has cleared a lot up for me and am now looking forward to going home and playing Minecraft with him. thank you and i'm going to watch all the videos. thank you for these they are brilliant

It's a common mistake don't worry, in order to break blocks you need to keep the mouse button held down until the block is broken. If you repeatedly click the mouse button the breaking will reset. Hope that helps!

@XxGhaztWarriorxX haha it's really for all the new folks that are going to just now find out about Minecraft (magazines and websites won't do reviews on games in beta), so I expect a lot of new players going "what is this I don't even". Hopefully these videos will help them out!
yep! if you grow some wheat you can lure any animal by holding the wheat in your hand. Check my tutorial on farms and breeding for more info!

I've heard about this game for I don't know how long. Then log and behold my ol' buddy Generikb is the mincraft hermit. So first play, I'm chopping trees and digging and I think "Is this it?" Just watched your video\ died while watching and survived my first night. Pretty cool man. Great videos.

do you have an Intermediary guide ? unfortunately the minecraft wiki does not have all the answers i'm looking for, like how far away from you do mobs spawn, how far do they start also moving, etc. Maybe i should read the forum, but that's no fun and takes a long time.

I have a few friends who were into MC and I never understood what they were talking about. I finally started playing last night because one of my besties was playing last night. I'm not gonna lie... I was terrified the first night when I heard all the creatures roaming around and there was one in my bestie's fort. I am completely hopeless with maneuvering in this game but this vid made me feel like I could do it! I also like the cute lil menu tune at the end! Clever! ;)

Help me i am really happy with what i built in my world but i cant find any chickens or eggs and pigs and cows are really far away from my base is there a way to lure chickens?

i have 1.3.2 so there is not any plain 'Logs' or 'Planks'
there is oak, spruce, jungle and birch trees.
no 'Normal' trees. >.<
so would i burn logs with planks?
First of all if you have 3 wheat you can make bread from the crafting table
and for the charcoal you need a furnace and burn the planks and logs to make coal
I can't seem to break the blocks that fast, I can break the grasses and kill the animals but I can't break the blocks, what's the problem with mine?

He use texture pack only first 1 minute then he use normal default texture but food wasdifrent becouse in 1.0.0 was like that

You have to upload a new image with the setting in your minecraft/mojang account in order to change your skin.
@zZzFTWzZz You just need to keep diggin :) you'll find it eventually. Usually it's quite common but not always
