    I got a Tisas Tanker 1911a1 a few months ago and its been a really amazing firearm. Superb materials and fitment everywhere you look on this gun. I honestly can't believe they managed to make a 100% forged steel 1911 for such an attractive price, not to mention that its eaten hollowpoints and +p rounds like a champ.
    Springfield and Colt need to get their heads out of their asses and start producing "glock budget" $500 1911's like Tisas. I love Rock Island 1911's too but Tisas blows them out of the water.

    I highly recommend the 1911 long slide in 10mm. The extra weight in the front of the barrel helps me get on target much faster than smaller 10 pistols.

      If this one ends up running really well i might look into a threaded barrel to put a comp on it. Shes pretty poppy but amazing accuracy. I can easily hit a 4" popper at 25yds about 90% of the time

    Great video. I usually have my go to guys when I am looking at a particular firearm but stumbled onto you. The information on the tweaks and quirks of the Tisas was great. Also found the demonstration on the differences between 45 & 10 when shooting helpful.
    I absolutely love my cheap Tisas and saw the plain 5inch on my local dealers website for $299 this morning. I think it is a great build platform or maybe first time 1911 because you can mess with it and you haven’t lost much if you beat it up a little.
    I have had many 1911s. The Tisas was the first one I took completely apart because why not. After cleaning and tinkering, I would put it up against a factory kimber or Gold cup any day. My cheap truck gun purchase turned into my favorite 1911.
    You should do more firearm vids.

    Just want to echo that my D10 has the same issue digging into the brass. It causes a nasty failure to return to battery. Once I eject the mag it will chamber the round. Happens 1-3 times per mag.

    • @SpeedyTube83

      Take a file and stone and round the bottom leading edge of the slide where the chamfer is. Its not made to spec. Rounding the edge will make it go away and barely scuff the brass :).

    I literally just got that 10mm for less than $700 with shipping and all. When I pay for my ffl transfer, I think it's still under $700. It's a beautiful gun though. I also think people over estimate what 10mm does. I have ran the Glock 20 and a few XDMs for a while. It's not that crazy. 10mm isn't that powerful when you consider all handgun calibers. More than 9mm? Sure. But it's controllable and not crazy.

    • @SpeedyTube83
      @SpeedyTube83  Год назад +2

      I didn't have the ability to get it at a discount or dealer cost at the time. I got it basically for $810 iirc out the door. It's a $770 pistol online. 10mm is wildly more powerful that a 9mm. More energy than a 357mag at times. I'm not sure if this is a troll post to see what it reply with.
