What a fascinating car and incredible restoration. While the rest of us mere mortals slept in our beds, John was in his garage AFTER a long day at work building award-winning cars! Now that’s a labor of love. So many interesting details to this Marquette-especially the 1930 komboloi hanging from the rear view mirror. Who knew the Chilean ambassador was Greek! A truly inspiring restoration!
Hi there might b more than 5. I'm in Canada and there's a 2 seater coupe restored in Val Caron Ontario beautiful. I also had the opportunity to buy a 4dr sedan solid original complete car in fergus Ontario 10 years ago. Should have bought it. The engine has the name marquette cast into engine block. 6 flathead. Very cool. There is also a marquette 2 seater roadster in guelph Ontario .original. he told me there is only 2 known. Roadster is beautiful
This car is breathtaking to say the least, Rana and the door panel trim was made with Ash wood which was used often in early high priced cars. Ash wood is also used for making baseball bats these days. I'm really impressed by his hard work and the fact that he never gave up on for 7 years. The updraft carb was interesting for me as well. Thank you, Rana.
Hello Ranas. I was in Charlotte at the auto fair and AACA car show with my Marquette and received the First Grand National. While at the swap meet i came across a rear view mirror with a clock in it for sale like the one you saw on my Marquette that you fell in love with. I bought it and it looks great on my desk. But if your interested in buying it for your pick up I'll sell it to only you for what i paid for it. By the way, my Marquette was awarded outstanding restoration for 2023 at the National Convention in Chantilly Virginia in February. I'm on a roll. Let me know on the mirror call or text. Love following you all over the county. I think you owe me a phone battery. Happy trails, John 😊
Hey John! Congratulations on the awards though im not surprised that’s a beautiful antique. Thank you for thinking of me but I can’t say for sure what I’m going to do at the moment on the dash of my ‘72 truck I am building. Keep it on your desk and hopefully I’ll catch you at another show!
Theo John, what an awesome car - and outfit to boot!! Love Lhana and Cody
