Props on all this. The idea that Sony has bad colors is a holdover from what was once true but is no longer. You’ve made a killer choice and the A7Cii is definitely on my list of cameras to try.
Relatable. I dropped my XE4 and was presented with a repair bill worth more than the camera. So I ordered a silver 7CR and 40mm G that should be here today or tomorrow. I think Fuji is a great system but I was ready for a change (I also own a ton of GM glass for video stuff). The sucky part of moving to Sony for still will be losing film sims, which is why I am here. I have to try and replicate the look. That was the best part of the Fuji for me. I'll try this film some
Good stuff. I'm also using the 7cii as my EDC, originally got the 7c because it was the first full frame cam in a compact rangefinder style body, and FF is just a huge help if you use a lot of vintage glass like I did. Thanks for sharing the recipe, gonna try it out when I'm out shooting.
One bad Fuji experience was enough for me. Missed shots at a graduation. 2 people standing right in front of me and the Fuji couldn't even do it. I left Fuji.
I love my (silver) A7Cii. I used to have a x100f (silver) and it really reminds me of this. This is my travel/edc camera for sure! BTW, I recently have been trying the FL Creative Style vs ST or PT what I have used for 4 years. Been liking the results.
Kiddo I have the same camera and love it, look up alphaguard skins, made by 3M and you can make the camera all silver or any color you want, they have camo, graffitti and a host of other designs
thanks for the great video and preset, gonna try it out the next few days:)! the a7cii looks so cool with the square lens hood and the zeiss 35, gonna save up for that :))) can i ask what picture profile you shot this video in? i really like the colors you're having, thanks!
@@one901 would be sooo sick if you could drop a “how i expose and grade slog3” vid 😭 I’m struggling so hard with it, either my footage is super noisy in the shadows, after the conversion lut my skin is suuuper magenta/red or it just generally looks bad 😭 Like how would you expose those top down shots where you showcase the camera for example? I mainly shoot youtube videos/shorts where i unbox stuff or review tech products:)
Got my a7cii and I will try your recipe next time I go outside. Btw, I heard that you can also use pp instead of creative look for recipe, do you also try pp for recipe?
Yes I’m seen those recipes and they don’t really looks like the film they are replicating and are clunky. Give then a try though. Your experience might be different
I have the a7cii,lovely camera, and am heavily into Sony with 6 g-master lenses,I also have the Fuji xpro2 and some older Fuji lenses,35mm f1.4 and the 18mm f2 and 56mm f1.2….have to say for everyday use the Fuji is far far more fun….

Agreed! The Sony colors have come a long way. Definitely give the A7cii a try!
Great choice A7C ii. Dig your style and vibe - glad YT recommended! New sub.
Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Try my recipe and see how you like it. There are a few channels that have some other recipes for Sony as well.

I have and I love a7cii
congrats on the camera bro. recipe looks sick too! try some manual focus lenses for a nice change of pace and even more of a “film” look.
Thanks my guy! I do plan to grab some vintage glass to try out.
Let’s go bro! 🎉
Great video bro! Love the a7cii honestly. Just great size and fun to use! Definitely agree having that AF is clutch!
@@EasyTigerCreative the AF was my only knock on the Fuji. I still take the F out from time to time but the Cii is my main thing
@@one901 makes sense!

I did a portrait session with an xt5 and missed a lot of shots. That was it for me lol
I just wish it had a joy stick (focus). Also, I wish more Sony lenses had aperture rings.

I don't have the patience to put those skins on lol.

It’s actually really easy. Assuming you’re on one of the newer 10 bit cameras, there are a ton of tutorials out there.

Could I use that on FX30 ?
No reason you couldn't
Yeah you should be able to. Give it a try.
