    When George Lucas was in charge, even though some of the direction and dialogue was stiff, George was always innovating and pushing the boundaries. Sometimes it was hit or miss, but he and his crew were always inventing new ways to do the impossible. The effects didn't just directly impact his movies but the entire industry as well. Without George and ILM, movies that we know today wouldn't be possible. Honestly, George Lucas, James Cameron, and Stephen Spielberg are in a class of their own when it comes to technological innovation in movie making. We love you George, sorry that some fans and the media made you feel otherwise for several years, but I think most Star Wars fans appreciate just how much you effected our lives with your vision. It really is a case of, "you don't know what you got til it's gone."

    sometimes when you watch the movies and then go on to watch these behind the scenes things that go really in depth to the production, sometimes you can’t even comprehend the amount of work that goes into it. one scene could contain months on months of effort from all the different departments all for something that ends up lasting a few minutes. it’s really impressive the amount of dedication and work goes into these films

      I actually even do not understand why so many native English speakers have big concerns with CGI. Maybe a culture difference? I heard older generations of my culture(most of them never even knew what Star Wars is when they were young) saying that OT looked less realistic because they used too many "puppets". (Don't get me wrong. I , myself think OT did their best with the technologies they had. I just do not understand why so lots of English speakers literally consider CGI usages as drawbacks.)

    • @pikppa
      @pikppa 7 лет назад +21

      Generally the bashers and the internet flamers claim that CGI is cheaper and doesn't look real. Both are fake. CGI looks a lot more real than the old outdated stop motion and while costumes and makeup can be great there are limits to what you can do with it. Also CGI if only it is way more difficult to do than pratical effects.

The appreciation for imagining things have gone out the window with the numbing of our society through shows like “the real world” and reality television. All of it has everything to do with that. Hi, MrAnderson! I am absolutely depressed by how so many Star Wars scenes were filmed and deleted and so many of them were not released. For example, Alan Ruscoe’s version of Bib Fortuna in the senate, extended Orn Fee Taa footage, many separatist scenes including the ones with Passel Argente having dialogue and Toonbuck Toora, THE red protocol droid that was supposed to appear near Jabba in the pod race. Do you know if there is any chance of finding these scenes?

    I feel bad for Shaak Ti's actress. She must've been spending hours to do that alien makeup only to be killed twice in the film, but then they deleted both of those death scenes from the movie.
