The whole album is a massive step up production wise from their previous albums. The youtube version isn’t even as loud from an RMS viewpoint as the album version, but that does let some of the instrumentation stand out better in the mix instead of being lost in the master

Honestly, I feel that Louis is so technical that I wouldn't be surprised if he was that detailed. Being a multi-instrumentalist must help because his dancing indicates he does have a certain degree of body spatial awareness. Dancers who are shorter or taller often have to adjust their form to match average size dancers because body proportions can vary and some dancers have to move a little more/less to line up their moves with everyone.

Been trying as well to transcribe some of their earlier songs... (What's in your heart) I was 10 minutes in and I realised that it was going to take longer than that afternoon. Still working on it. Brilliant thought!
You mean the choir sample at 1:35? It sounds like simple notes (E-D, C-D) but the sample has a 5th going on or minor chord quality (1, 5, 8, 3 like an A shaped barre chord on a guitar - which is how you arrange choir too). It works as 1, 4, 8 too. The government knows.
The chords are pretty complicated, as they sing and improvise in a VERY strange harmony pertaining to the chords.
They're both classically trained jazz musicians so that explains the technicality.
