he is a rhapsode, in concerts usually tells the stories between the songs, the stories behind the songs.
Asaf Avidan is tremendous! I'm from Brazil and I just wished people here knew more about him, so he could come here for a tour. Maybe someday... Loved your reaction as well! Your face is just like mine the first time I heard it! Lol

He also plays the piano beautifully. He's a real multi-instrumentalist, and GOOD at everything he plays. I suggest his "In A Box III - 900 days", that's just recently come out.

He's amazing. ❤️ His song with the best lyrics ever (matching those of Leonard Cohen) is "The Labyrinth song". Also, one of the great ones is "Fair haired traveler".
Avidan is as much of a poet as Cohen was. Love them both. 👍
He's such an all-round amazing artist. Hope to see more of this. Almost any of the acoustic covers he does of his own songs are great. Also, flipping the guitar and using that metal piece is an old blues technique. Not something he created but the way he used is clearly very different but similar effect. Not sure what it's called.

Wow ..he is not new. lol One of my favourite Asaf Avidan songs is Different Pulses . The video to it is pretty cool too.
Asaf Avidan had cancer of the larynx and underwent surgery after which his voice changed. The rehab included a lot of time with a vocal coach
