Excellent drills. Any tips on how to stay close to the wall? I eventually push myself away. Or does that have to do with the surface you're training on?
You're relying too much on the strength of your legs. You have to get your core into it as well.
great!
Thanks
Amazing, these are the holes in my game of which I am trying to eliminate. Im going to do this every day and give you feed back. Cobrinha Ossssss...Thankyou sooo much. 😀😃🙂
Can you please make a video showing when to use these movements in a roll?

Thank you for these. Any chance of a video showing how these moves are applied against opponent? Thank you
Master Cobrinha thank you for the drills, excellent work . Here I am doing and enjoying it. Could you please do a video to explain it's uses, I'm kind of a beginner and can't figure it out most of them.
Hi Humberto! thanks for watching our channel. The best advice I can give to you is focus on the REVERSE HIP ESCAPE DRILL #1, BACKWARDS HIP ESCAPE #2 , and
LEG DRAG GUARD RETENTION #3. By doing those Guard Retention Drills EVERYDAY you will take your guard retention to the next level.
@@Cobrinhabjj thank you very much, keep up the excellent work.
Is there any way to see how these movement apply in drilling with partner?
❤️
Muito obrigado Cobrinha.
Poderia fazer um de alongamento?
Sim, vamos fazer um de alongamento em breve Eduardo. Abraço
Thank you sir! Can you please advice how you keep your body the same distance to the wall? I feel like I’m pushing myself away and straightening out slowly then having to reset. What am I doing wrong? Thank you so much
Hi Mars, In the beginning it's normal to push yourself away from the wall until you get more comfortable with the movements. How long have you been practicing the wall drills?
@@Cobrinhabjj thank you so much for your reply. I am just starting out, perhaps it’s a flexibility issue. I may need to find another way to play guard without inverting. I can still use this type of guard retention without inverting?
@@Vengeance888 Yes, I recommend you to do those drills for conditioning and to loosen up your hips. Do it for a moth 3 times a week and let me know how you feel.
Osss
Professor, qual a diferença do 1 para o do leg drag
Giovani. O Primeiro e um otimo exercicio para soltar o quadril. Abraço
A question on Inverted Guard Retention for Leg Drag. How do i get my body to spin like that? It felt really difficult. Am i missing a prerequisite or something?
Hi Thomas, make a video and send it to me on info@cobrinhabjj.com.
Hey professór. Could you explain in details the difference between 2nd and 7th drills? They are almost the identical. 2nd you do with more speed and not stretching much leg when you are pulling back like in the 7th. That is only I could differentiate. But basic movement are the same.
Hey Serik! Thanks for watching our channel. The 2nd guard retention will help you with your Reverse Hip Escape and the 7th is the Knee Shield. And I use this one to not let my opponent to crush my legs by keeping my Knee Shield on my opponents shoulder.
@@Cobrinhabjj Muito obregado professór! Oss

I can not make it to the gym due to a sick family member, but I have been doing these drills at home almost every day. Thank you.
Anyway, I have a question:
The second drill is "reverse hip escape" and the seventh drill is "shield guard retention or forward hip escape - knee shield". These drills are similar. I understand what a reverse hip escape does, but how is the shield guard retention different? What kind of situation is "shield guard retention" for?
Hi Chris, first of thank you for watching our videos. Could make a video with you question and send it to us at info@cobrinhabjj.com and i will make another video to help you.
Thank you for the reply. I will try to send you a video soon.
@@Cobrinhabjj I sent a video reply shared from my Google drive. Did you get it?
Hi @@judochemistry, did you receive the video?
@@Cobrinhabjj Got it! I use some of these shields to keep my guard in tight situations but I did not think about this important concept too much. Thank you very much.
