Thanks for the video. My X300 at 35k miles and I was thinking about at least checking and probably replacing the clutch plates. Ordered a set of plates and springs from Barnett last night and was reading the service manual instructions. Looks pretty easy, but it's really nice to have a visual guide as well.

Thank you for making this video. I have a 2020 Versys that has a burnt clutch. Bought the bike new, July of 21. 1 year(ish) later, 6500 miles, 3 oil changes.
Quote from Service to repair : 1354.60 after extended maint agreement deductible.
I pay @115 a month. This repair would literally set me back a year of debt on the bike.
Needless to say, I will be replacing the clutch myself, with a great deal of help and guidance from your video. Thanks, man.

Hey Ronald, that is wonderful to hear buddy! Glad my video could help you. These are the very reasons we do do as many instructional vids as were able to. You can now send me a 6 pack of Corona in the mail lol

Thanks for the great Versys content. 28k on my 2017 right now, hope that I won't have to deal with this soon, but sooner or later...

Hey thanks James. Was hoping it would be of some help for a few people. It was first time working in a Versys, but very straight forward. Clutches “look” spooky, but are quite simple. Thanks for watching man!! Dan (Gnarly)

What did you think of the Barnett springs? Probably one of the only things I dislike on the little V300 is the vague clutch. In my opinion they went to far making it too easy to pull. I ordered a set of those springs and their HD clutch plates. Hopefully it stiffens the clutch feel up a little.

It was actually a friend’s Kawi that I replaced the clutch etc on. But I have used the Barnett clutch components before. Those springs are much better than oem. It will pull a little stiffer, and kast much longer. Way better then oem imo
