As an early Christmas gift to myself, I bought a T Rex Racing Heavy Duty skid plate for my Versys. Riding off road is a scary ordeal on the Versys because of the exposed oil filter and low slung exhaust. This skid plate does a great job protecting both.

Looks like you'll need a can of brake clean every time you change the oil. That plate holds oil!

T Rex makes good stuff. I will say I've used there skid plates on other bikes and does usually complicate the oil changing process a bit. Got to take the good with the bad. Thanks for the content.
