The software should have registration mark icon, that can be selected & then scaled.

Wouldn't that be nice. To the best of my knowledge, LightBurn does not have a pre-made registration mark option. It would be easy to make one and save it in your library for easy retrieval, scaling, and use.

Thanks for sharing this. This is going to be a game changer for me. I have to make a wall hanging that is larger than my Longer Ray bed and this looks like the information I was looking for. I'm glad I subscribed to your channel, yesterday.

Fantastic! I am glad this will help you. Give it a try with something small like I did with using paper. I played with this feature over a year ago and didn't spend enough time learning how it works and failed at my attempt. I bookmarked it in my head for "another time". You know how that goes. Fast forward a year or so and I got back to it. I didn't have any issues using it, that is why I decided to do a quick video on it. I hope your project works out great! I have visions of burning a 4X8 foot piece of plywood for something and using this. (Not really going to happen thought as that would take forever to burn). ;-)

@@CNCATHome I planned to try it out next week on some cardboard and see if I can figure it out. WOW!! a 4X8 piece would be awesome.

@@jimmylee6247 - 4X8 would be awesome as it is so much larger than my working area of 50x40cm. My friend's 150 watt CO2 laser has a bypass and if close to 5' wide so he can easily run a 4X8 sheet through. I don't remember the depth of his cutting area but he should be able to do that in 2 or 3 sections. Using the Print and Cut would help him do that. Good luck with your project! :-)

That's neat. I can use that on my AUFERO 1. I really like your videos, that are so informative.

Can't you raise up the Atomstack's laser so you can see the beam, position it, then drop it down and focus it?

I have thought about that and I like the idea. With this laser, there are some issues doing that. The main one is the laser emitter doesn't keep itself square with the gantry and can rotate a little. This can make up to a 1 mm difference in the laser spot location along the x axis. The laser dot is noticeably larger when the emitter is raised up enough to see the dot. What I need to do is to take the safety window out so I can see the laser dot in the focused position and just make sure to wear my safety goggles while it is operating. What I really need to do is find an Allan wrench that fits that set screw so I can remove the protective glass screen. My solution is to keep the burns simple and I made a nice zeroing template for the laser so I have accurate and repeatable location of the material I am burning/etching.

Hi, I just purchased an LC-50, upon assembling, I ended up with a wire labeled Y ( I assumed it is for the Y axis limit switch) but the is no Y limit switch at the far end of the Y axis: any thought on that? is that normal?
Thanks for your service to the laser engraving community.

There should be a limit switch on the machine. When facing the machine, it is on the left side near the front. The Y cable should go from that switch to the controller board and plug into the farthest right plug that is 3 pins. My LC-50 Plus came with the X and Y limit switches already installed and there were X and Y limit switches included with the nuts and bolts so I have an extra of each. If you do not have a limit switch, you should contact the seller and inquire about that. I hope you are able to get that taken care of. 🙂

    Stupid design on laser head

It would be nice if the protective window was more easily removable.

You are a true guru of LightBurn. I have a question...
If you have a grayscale image (example drive.google.com/file/d/1DjAiwflHDxT9tSdjA89g8_Gy-8pqrvfz/view?usp=sharing ), is it possible to cut in 3D by varied power, or is it limited to a single power setting per selection/layer?
