one time I was going on a trip just when a new book of his came out. So I bought it to read on the plane. I didn't get but a few pages in when I had to stop because I was laughing so hard I was afraid they would think I was crazy and put me off the plane. 😂😂😂 it's also worth getting his books read by him. I owned some in the past, some are online, even in RUclips you can find a lot. Enjoy! but don't be anywhere that when you are listening you might laugh so much to appear to be a crazy maniac. 😂❤
When I worked in a restaurant kitchen, I made salads. Invariably there would be people who wanted their dressing "on the side." I would pour several ounces of our house vinaigrette into a small pitcher and send it on. They would mostly use it all. It was twice as much as I normally used to dress the salads. I had a good laugh.
@@cmet8280Well, count your blessings! In Scotland, they don't use "dressing" at all; they only have a hideous thing that they call "salad cream" (super-sweet mayonnaise-based garbage, imo), and it's always served "on the side", in little plastic packets... It's not to my taste, but they seem to like it... Long live Ranch dressing! 🇺🇲
I’m always interested in trying different foods, as opposed to what I eat on a regular basis. Whether it’s a joke or not, I’d give it a try. After all, Heganism, I really thought was a thing, until Sedaris himself, made it up. I’d still be interested about it, though.
His "level 4 vegan" joke is not from "TransAmerica", but it *is* from The Simpsons - if Sedaris had known that, he wouldn't have needed to look up whether it was true or not.
When I saw Transamerica and heard that I thought it was a real thing too, even though I didn't understand it LOL. I didn't hear about it originally being from The Simpsons until later on.
"Eat The Rich" is a British film from 1987. I would not find his joke funny. I'm not getting paid to deal with purile and obtuse shenanigans. I live off tips not stupidity.
I'm telling you all it takes is a couple of Dahmers going round filleting and cooking millionaires for the conversation around income inequality to level up to where it should be 🤷♂️ Eat the Rich, Eat the Rich, Eat the Rich 🤘
Andy Rooney + John Waters = David Sedaris
😅😲
Please give David Sedaris a weekly segment. ❤
That would be wonderful
Agreed. Met him a few times as a kid (through marriage am related to his partner) and he’s got an incredible wit.
please, no. it's the only part of Sunday Morning I don't like
@@panic9383 And why is that ?
Yes!! He never fails to make me laugh!💖
'Over ripe racoon carcass'. Well, that's going to stay with me.
YES!!! Laughter is needed more than ever! ❤❤
This reminds me of a segment from Portlandia.
More more more!! I love him
He's probably got a bunch of audio books if you search for them, maybe a podcast.
OMG perfection
Portlandia did this sketch years ago.
David is awesome!
Rich people problems.
Very clever as alway with David Sedaris!!! LOL 😂
Love the Sedaris

Having it on the side usually means it will be more, that's why I order it that way. Who is laughing now 😄

I used to work at a pizza place... "Give me an extra large meat-lovers pizza, and a 2L of Diet Coke" 🤣

@@giuseppelogiurato5718 American here, only aware of "salad cream" from Fawlty Towers. 😂
for other Americans, I THINK it's like Miracle Whip. 😁
The Level 4 vegan joke was on the Simpsons 4 years before that movie.
That's where I know it from!
Yep. And it was Level 5.
What movie?
You are awesome,!!!❤
LOL! I died! 🤣🤣
Very nice

It's as if he channels Truman Capote.
lol maybe that's why they're my two fave writers

Just about anything in American pop culture that's funny originated on The Simpsons.
LOL good one! 😂😂
There is only 1 Andy Rooney!
He'll be relieved to know that as a "hegan" he would be safe to eat meat most of the time.
Totally funny!!
Bacon is MEAT CANDY. 🥓
(here kitty,kitty,kitty)
Imagine raccoon not being good for you
He’s definitely a hegan
🤣🦬
Hilarious!
David Sedaris has made many comments ridiculing people making attempts to protect animals, inclusive of dietary concerns.
Can 2 vegans have a beef?
Fme O wait LMFAO
And that is why I left the service industry.
Where's Mo Rocca....he's more relatable than DS
DS makes me cringe every time
Mo Rocca did the Young and the Restless segment today.
Yeah, he’s definitely more relatable to a low-brow audience.
😂😂😂
You can't eat the rich, they are too sour.
😮🤣🤣🤣

He might not actually play this joke in real life--- might just be a rotuine for his comedy schtick here. Hard to tell.
"Eat the rich" was a slogan in the 60s.

Sadly, David jumped the shark a while ago.
Cry me a river.
His attempts at satire always miss the mark.
