I just picked up the 256gb DELKIN v90 microSD UHS-II MEMORY CARD that reads @300mb/s & writes @300mb/s & it gives me 4 hours for 5.3k 60fps without skipping a beat...

Thanks for the video! What is the difference between a SanDisk Extreme Plus and a SanDisk Extreme Pro? Is the SanDisk Extreme Plus better for the GoPro Hero 10? Thanks!

Hello, thanks for the valuable information, a question here...which card shouldI buy? SanDisk Extreme vs SanDisk Extreme Pro? Is it worth paying more for the Pro version or not? And I should buy 2-3 pcs of 128 GB or 1 pcs of 256/512 GB card? I just bought a GoPro Hero 10 and I will want to use for travel vlogging, a few hours daily (maybe) ... thanks, subscribed! :D
Sandisk Extreme works great with GoPro. I'd get a few SDs of a smaller size (128gb) so that you can organize your files better, and in case one fails/brakes, you'd have more SDs to back you up.
Gopro 10 now in use for 1 week. 2 card returned for warranty in the past few days. Seems to be a bug in the gopro 10? encountered no problem with a 32 V30 U3 card. Previously used with the gopro 9, 1 year without any problems
How important is the mb/s write speed ? I have Sandisk extreme but the previous one I had was 160 mb/s read an 90 mb/s write , the new one I just received in the mail has 160 mb/s read but only 60 mb/s write speed will this affect my go pro hero 8 ?
the MB/s IS MOST IMPORTANT!! I just picked up the 256gb DELKIN v90 microSD UHS-II MEMORY CARD that reads @300mb/s & writes @300mb/s & it gives me 4 hours for 5.3k 60fps without skipping a beat...
write speed explains itself in terms of technical, how fast can you write on the sd card. in layman's term, the higher the write speed, the better quality you can shoot from your gopro without encountering problems.
Not as important, any V30 is fine and A2 ratings will just mean faster downloading to your computer. Best of saving your money and skip the A2 and just get an A1 with bigger capacity. Don't believe the hype that A1 is only for storage, it is not, all V30 are perfect for 4k recording, people that say otherwise are full or it.
We've now had 3 SanDisk extremes go bad and fail in our new GoPro 10's. All cards were purchased new for the 10's and never used for anything else. Is anyone else having fails? We're losing a lot of footage.
I'm sorry to hear that Luxe! Although it's rare, even the best memory cards can fail eventually. I personally found Sandisk cards working great with any GoPro camera so far... Also be careful of the "fake" branded sd cards out there.
@@project-go Just lost a 4th card. It's been a bit frustrating because all of the cards are brand new as of September 2021 - with 2 coming directly from you with the 2 GoPro 10 bundles we bought and the others coming from top RUclips content creators offering links to Amazon sellers for "the best GoPro 10 cards". We have noticed that even with the hardware updates, one of our 10's gets exceedingly hot during use. Last night sitting on a counter for an hour to shoot a dinner party, it was almost too hot to the touch to even change the battery out. I can't help but wonder if that particular one is putting out more heat than the micro SD can handle? We left the battery door open after that to try to give it some more air circulation. But I thought the overheating problem had been solved with the hardware upgrade?
@@luxevagabondsHave you searched youtube for your issue as it could be the card itself causing heating issues & it's due to a card not being what it says i.e fake/incorrect speed. Gopro's are if i'm not mistaken heat protected i.e shutdown when temp is too high
@@scorpnz4433 We were wondering the same thing, but one of the cards that is being used when we have this issue is a card sent with the GoPro itself from the company when we purchased the full package. We've noticed them turning off when getting overheated, but it also seems that's when the data on the cards also gets corrupted. We've also noticed that it's dangerous to run the cards fully out on space. We now change them out when they near 10% of space. It's all trial and error, but definitely there's an overheating issue - at least with our units. But I think you could be right about the counterfeit data cards. We purchased our 256's on Amazon from a seller that a bunch of RUclips GoPro guru's had recommended, but that doesn't mean they're always selling authentic products. We're going to start purchasing only from places like B&H (or whatever the equivalent is for the UK, as we are in the UK shooting the show for the next several months). Thanks for the reply! Always helpful to get some idea of what might be going on!!
