I have used this card on both my Hero 6 and my Hero 10 and it works great on both and is fast enough to keep up. The Pro or Ultra cards are even faster but those speeds are not needed for the GoPro. • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  8 месяцев назад +1

      GoPro states the Hero 9 can support a microSD card up to 256GB in size. As long as you use a card model that is supported by GoPo, having a larger card will not increase the corruption risk, but what could increase the risk is if you store and leave files on here and the card gets close to full and isn’t formatted regularly. I usually copy the files off my card at the end of an adventure and then about once a month I format my microSD card once I have ensured all files on the card are backed up elsewhere of course.

    Thank you. I have a Hero 4 Black bundle on it's way to me and the advice out there re the SD card is rediculous. Most say that it'll take up to 512gb and I came across one guru who said that the recommended capacity is 128gb but that up to 512gb will work! What does that mean? I've had Hero 3s fitted to my motorcycles for years, but only collision purposes, and thinking back to when I fitted them, I'd had a niggling recollection about not "over-sizing" the SD card because it causes issues. Thank you for confirming my thoughts.

      There is not a time limit with filming in 2.7K 240FPS that I am aware of. This should be limited only by the amount of storage space you have available on your MicroSD card. I have filmed in this mode for several minutes continuously and not had the GoPro stop recording.

      I wondered about this, too.
      But V30 cards should work.
      I confused that GoPro publishes its requirememts in Mbits/sec. and the V30 spec is in MByte/sec.
      V30 cards can handle at least 30 MByte per second. And the demand is 100 MBit per second.
      30 Mbyte/second are 240 MBit/second.
      Hence it should work.
