hey, mini-advice from a chef. use an ice cream scoop taking out the seeds, it's kinda sharp at the edge so it slices through all the slimy membrane holding it into the centre.
Thank you! I'm going to make a homemade spaghetti sauce with sweet orange bell peppers, baby portabella, and ripe Roma tomatoes with salt, pepper, and oregano. :)
I remembered when I'm young, my aunt makes a dish using a plant she called "Noodle fruit" and when I got older I can't find that fruit in any market in my country, I just assume my aunt just using any fruit and scrape it to make it look like a noodle. Its been almost 20 years and damn, now I can rest in peace knowing that my aunt "noodle fruit" is actually legit and real.
You are the reason nobody likes vegans lol who said she was eating it to be healthy? You can eat vegetables because you like the taste. Take a look at fried okra or green beans with bacon fat/grease in them.
@@shanapierro1522 Flavor isn't being unhealthy. Everything in moderation and then excersize regularly. Being happy is also good for your health! instead of worrying about a little bit of fat. Our bodies need fat for our brains to work properly! You sound like you have eating disorder...tbh.
thanks for checking out so many of the vids...glad you like them...I've got a spaghetti squash in the fridge lined up for a version of kung pao chicken, not sure I'll use chicken, though....maybe jackfruit
I planted a packet of mixed winter squash seeds in our vegetable garden last summer, and it seems there were some for spaghetti squash in there also. It stores nicely in our small basement with the acorn and other hard shell squash. I got out my Mom's old Better homes & Gardens cook book, looked up winter squash, and they have two ways to cook it: One is like you show, in the oven for 30 - 45 minutes. But the second is to cut it in half, then put it in a large pan, cut side down in an inch of water. Bring to a boil,, then turn the heat down to low, cover the pan and let it do its thing for 15 minutes. Works like a charm, uses less gas and is speedier also. I'll have to cut it in half crosswise next time like you show, thanks for the tip!
I just bought a spaghetti squash and I’m gonna at pasta sauce and maybe shrimp or a little ground turkey to it and I eat it out of the actual squash itself like a bowl. So good
I just wanted to say I scoured RUclips looking for the best spaghetti squash recipe, you guys, have hit the nail on the head. I’m going to be using your method to make my homemade chicken Parmesan. God bless you guys and thank you so much for the helpful tips.
Hey you guys are great. What an amazing vegetable. I only discovered it about two years ago. Good alternative for people who can't eat normal pasta. Very keto friendly as well.
The first time I had spaghetti squash, I had it longways and while it was inside the squash and it was good. However, this method of cooking it and carving out the noodles that way made this so much easier to eat and I love just being able to eat as much as I want from a bowl instead of a squash slice. 10/10 for this video!!!!
I seen these grow like crazy 30 years ago . This guy next door had a garden and these things were growing everywhere . Never tried one though . Just bought my first spaghetti squash and gonna cook it just like your video . wish me luck . I'LL bet its delicious . I like eating unusual stuff that is healthy . Thanks for posting the video
I never made Spaghetti squash before and came to the world of youtube to figure out how to cook it. Your tutorial seemed easier to me and my brother (who hates all things squash) ate 2 bowls of of spaghetti squash with just some fresh parmesan and basil on it. Thanks for the video and looking forward to trying your cauliflower pizza recipe next...well....eventually :)
I'm sure glad your videos stay on here a long time. I don't know how many times I've referenced just this one, but they sure are handy. I really need to write them down! Lol Thanks guys for all your work on here.

This is the best video on how to cook, spaghetti squash, ever! So many tips like cutting it halfway. And WA LA spaghetti bowls! Awesome 😎 Just saved me a finger or two. Y’all are double good trouble😉
Cooked spaghetti squash for first time tonight. Mixed with cooked onions, sour cream, and sharp cheddar. I don't think I'll ever go back to spaghetti noodles. Thank you for your video, I wasn't sure how to cut into the squash and get noodles out of it.
Best method I've tried. Nice long strands and even cooking all throughout with the water addition, allowing me to get the most out of each squash. A great food prep vegetable and an easy grow if you have a garden. My favorite and nutritious substitute for pasta if I'm making chicken Alfredo or spagetti squash and meatballs. If you are on a weught loss diet you can fill up fast and eat a ton of s. squash because it's also very low in calories.
Thank you for making this!! I'm a college student trying to eat more plant based and teach others to do the same, I'll be sure to tell others about you guys on my channel!
I usually serve it with pesto, but some garlic softened in olive oil with a little salt, basil, oregano, and a drop of white wine is also really delicious with this - and of course, parmesan sprinkled on top, lol. Thanks for the great idea about how to cut it before cooking!
Loved this video! Felt like I was in the kitchen with family. I’ve never cooked spaghetti squash and was confused when I cut one open 😄So many helpful tips in his video!
Love the video guys. I’ve been a chef for 25 years in England and now in Australia but I’ve never come across spaghetti squash, I’ve heard of it though. The first time I heard of it was thru an American chef I was working with in London about 20 yrs ago and I was like what?? It’s similar to a butternut pumpkin but comes out like spaghetti??? That’s crazy!! Anyways, fast forward to today.. I’m just passing by my local fruit and veg shop in Sydney Australia, and they have it there! They don’t normally have it because I go there a few times a week, so they’ve obviously taken a chance in it at the markets and decided to buy a box to sell. As soon as I saw it I thought wow I have to buy one as I’ve known about this for so long but never seen it!! So I don’t want to mess up cooking it, so I RUclips a video and yours was the top one so I watched that and really enjoyed it. I added my Italian sauce recipe on it and added parmesan cheese on top. My son loved it, I loved it, and even my picky eater shih tzu repeated, after his customary meal ( with just some meat on it). Thanks for this great idea. I will substitute the pasta from now on, since we need to loose weight!!!
Thank you for showing us how easy it is to cook spaghetti squash. I have one but didn't know how to cook it. I will be serving it this way as a side dish.

Love your guys humor "you mean high" made my morning I'm about to cook some squash we got from the local food bank... Yes we're broke and this food gos a long way
We cut long way. Add salt garlic powder pepper butter oragono ect. Last 5 min add cheese on top. Cook 1 hr 30 min. It was so good . he ate out of his half i out out of my half. No sauce no meat no mess. We was so FULL. Very good ❤
UNBELIEVABLE! And I say that because it's unbelievable that we weren't allowed to see/judge that first bite!!! THAT moment tells it all. The reaction to the taste of whatever... most especially SPAGHETTI SQUASH- something we hear about but have never tried. Help me here kids. Let's cajole Chef Buck and his Camera Girl to RE-SHOOT this video the next time spaghetti squash comes to the table and show us the real honest raw reaction to what this dish is bringing in that makes it worth making . I want to see AND hear why it's SO good. I want to throw down my mouse (gently) and jump in my car or get on my bicycle, or just hoof it straight down to the market after seeing this presentation and grab me one of those spaghetti squashes and get it home and do amazing stuff with it only because I was inspired to do so by the mouth watering end of a cooking prompt like this one. well, THANK YOU chef Buck, and you too, CAMERA GIRL, for this first effort to convince the world concerning SPAGHETTI SQUASH. KEEP 'em coming. Be well. bye now

Spaghetti squash is so good. I add a little butter, parsley, garlic, salt, and parm cheese. Delicious!

Thank you so much for this video! So funny and informative!!
I'm going to cook my spagetti squash right now. It's nice to make something simple and healthy! Thanks!! (:
Be well. bye now
pretty good timing, right? ruclips.net/video/nZ_B0thZ65M/видео.html

You guys are so cute. I just made some before I watched the video and it didn't turn out as nice. Definitely gonna try it this way next time. Thank you!
