I have been cooking wrong all this time. You are absolutely right about how to cut the squash. Now it comes out just perfect. It’s always the main dish for my vegetarian friends and it can be prepared like any pasta.
I cooked this similar to how you recommended "cutting along the equator" and it worked out so much better than in the past. I got more of the flesh out and the "strands" looked better and more natural instead of "hashed". Plus it's easier to put saran wrap on the 2nd piece if you decide to refrigerate it for another day. Thank you Miss Wang for saving me time and hassle!!!
Thank you for making this video! Using the microwave cut the cooking time significantly. I zapped one half a squash at a time in the microwave and the squash was cooked perfectly. I used garlic powder and butter while cooking. After I pulled the spaghetti I seasoned it with salt and pepper and tasted it. It was delicious and could be eaten just like that! It can be used as a great base for many recipes. We just added marinara sauce with sliced kielbasa sausage. A+
I caught this too late and cut my squash lengthwise, but I'm going to try the "equator" cut tmro as it's on sale and I love it. Thanx for sharing, and if you were just roasting spaghetti squash, what temperature and how long? Tia❤
It is true! It explodes! I cooked last night according to the instructions in the etiquette which said to boil the whole squash for 20 minutes in salted water....the skin broke while the water was boiling and made a loud noise. Luckily no consequences. Now i am here to see what to do with the cooked spaghetti squash. Really liked your video....off to the kitchen now

So glad you tried it and for the suggestion so others can try! Next time, get some of that mushroom seasoning and try it with that!
@@SammyWongsKitchen We love mushrooms, but I just don't have any in my spice rack. I'll be looking for a good one now! I never knew it existed.
THIS IS AWESOME! THANK YOU FOR SHARING AND KEEP SAFE..

What temp do you bake it at?
375 degrees F
What temperature for the oven?
350-375F. I usually cook it with other dishes so it depends on what else is cooking.

Just a note to warn all NOT to boil the squash. You get a mushy and wet mess of 'spaguetti'. Next time i will definetly BAKE
EIther bake or microwave. Hope you were able to salvage your boiled spaghetti squash! Let me know how my recipe turns out!

You're welcome and definitely try the roasted seeds!
Microwaves are not good for one’s health. On 400, bake squash in oven until knife tender, then cut in half, take seeds out and do whatever.
There is nothing wrong with microwave cooking, that is misinformation
