  • Add this 25 usd digital readout to your drill press for accurate drilling depths.
    Ever drilled a bearing seat in a piece of wood? This takes the guesswork, and constant measuring out of the drill depth procedure.
    Your drill press might require some other fixing method, but the basic is the same. Fix it between the quill and drill press body, and you are good to go.

    I didn't know I needed one until just now. I am constantly using calipers in awkward places. Now I have a better solution. Excellent video... Thank you for taking the time to show this application.

    Hello! Is it possible to install DRO for X and Y axis on a Standard upright tabletop 17MF drill press?
    this is all I currently have to work with, as I cannot afford a mill.

      It depends on the travel length of the mill axis, but these can be purchased in several lengths

    Does this block access to the pulley housing for speed adjustment?

    • @bellevuesnekkeri
      @bellevuesnekkeri  7 лет назад

      The variable speed of the drill press is adjusted with the lever on the left , behind the scale.
      Its a variator, so I do not need to open the flip top to adjust speed. thanks for watching and commenting

    How do you change belt speed? Do you have to remove the unit to open the belt cover?

    • @bellevuesnekkeri
      @bellevuesnekkeri  4 года назад

      The belt speed is adjusted with the lever on the left side, just behind the dro. Its is a variator speed control. No need to change pulleys

    Hej! In your shop tour video you mentioned that this would be a "cheap chinese" drill press. I am living in Sweden, so just around the corner, and was wondering what drill press this is and where you have bought it. Haven't seen anything around that has both a tension based speedcontroll as well as a rpm meter for "cheap" :)
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Have a great one!

      Its OK, little to none runout in the quill, , power is as to be expected for a benchtop model. I dont use the laser, so for me it works great

      Thanks, no I have not made any progress. I am making a new series on building a smaller cnc. It is veeeery timeconsuming. Do not know when the separator video will be up yet. Thanks for watching

      I'm building a cyclone with similar size to yours, It will take some time to finish it here aswell. CNCs are more fun to watch anyway, cant wait to see that one!

    What a breath of fresh air; someone using metric and not that antiquated imperial measurements we are swamped with from the Americans.
