I love how the cables say "pokemon"
😄 yup
Time stamp pls?
@@veenalokesh6671 6:15
Why does it say Pokemon? Is that the brand of the cable or just a reference?
@@tenet5858 Seems like an easter egg
It's good to see all those ribbon cables that are visible are not just for aesthetics but actually practical parts of nothing ones.
👍
Keep posting more content like this always and always
👍 Will do :)
@@PBKreviews You deserve many subscribers 👍🏻
6:13, didn't expect to see the word pokemon written twice inside a phone today... brilliant disassembly as usual.
Thanks! 👍
Love this video bro. Very professional
Glad you liked it!
Waiting for this for long time
:) 👍
Wow a newly build and released phone... I'm loving this teardown...
As well as noticing a simple flaws... those plastic clips and clasps at the back cover (after the glass) might get brittle much faster due to its clear back cover and heat from the phone itself.
👍 . It's possible, but I'm sure they used a type of plastic that would last a good while. However the back glass without any laminate layer would be prone to breaking from drops I would feel, and would break away and not just crack since there is nothing behind it to hold it. But looks good at least lol.
@@PBKreviewsagree... Looks awesome with the expense of lot less protection...
Always love his music reassembly 😋👍
Finally did it!! Goodjob
Yup! 👍
For a company that claims it's consumer friendly, fixing this phone is a nightmare!
It looks like you shouldn't break the front screen... so hard to repair...Great video as always!
Thanks! 👍
❤ helpfull video . Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Love the video! Just bought the Nothing Phone(1) had to replace it for green tint issue on the screen. Now it's fine. Love the overall design and software experience.
Thanks! Glad your replacement is good now.
@@PBKreviews yes thank full 🙌 i did see like a stip of grey light on my display at 10% brightness but i decide not to be so picky, all high refresh rate displays have some or the other issues, My Pixel 6 has a tiny green tint too so i decided to let it go, it's not visible on higer brightness anyway 😅. Cheers!
@@prakharagnihotri5579 Hi sir i am thinking to buy nothing phone? u suggestions? can i buy it any major issue?
@@jagadeeswaranr1148 If you get it for good offers and under 30K it's a good deal, Some units have Screen issues, I got my replacement through the service center and they were initially not giving me a replacement since all screen has some or the other minor issues. You have to look at the pros while buying the phone. 4 years of Software support. Beautiful design, In hand feel. Screen is decent. Cameras are decent. 778+ performs decently but the phone is optimised very well so it feels as fast as any flagship out there. It offers you wireless charging in this price range.
So a lot of Pros. and hardly any cons.
try to get the 8/256gb variant for a future proof device and you should be happy with this for 3-4 years. Not recommended for competitive gaming. Casual games run very well and 778+ helps you with Battery so for a casual user it's easily a 6-7hr SOT. anything more then 6 is very good. Go for it if you can get it for a good deal and of the feature it offers is an actual upgrade. If you are already using a Midrange phone or flagship don't buy the nothing phone 1 then.
@@prakharagnihotri5579 thnak you i have ordered it . i liked the design so much..i cannot ignore that. and i have nearby serice centres.. so took this risk .i dont play games onl watching movies ..so hope the display satisfies me... and also wanted to expeirence new stock UI ...

Good work brother
Thanks!
Special contact for who know the channel 😉
Excellent work. And one more thing have you ever seen a phone that does not have
main and sub board? One solid board for both or other deign
👍. The google pixel 6, 6 pro and 6a as well as the sony xperia pro-i have just a single board.
He made it really transparent!
👍
does anyone know if it's possible to get the camera lens glass replacement anywhere? there are tons of protectors but i'm unable to find the glass itself
Can't seem to find it, but this one on this site seems to be it. However I never purchased from them before. www.impextrom.com/en/lens-cameras-tempered-glass-screen-protector-nothing-phone-1-p1000145825 . You can also try contacting nothing and see if they offer replacements, or how much they charge to replace it etc.
Nothing phone review let that sinks in. 😅
👍
What are your thoughts on the overall build of the phone? I'd like to hear your opinion on that after the teardown on your future videos too!
Its a decent build quality, similar to a oneplus device.
My nothing phone one has a mic problem. When it's connected on charge it works well but when I remove from charge e doesn't work but makes a weird noise. I need assistance
Might be a bad sub board, or water damage shorting something.
where is the NFC located?
You are up to date when it comes to getting phone. That is why you are better than jerry in my opinion
Thank you :)
What a nice device guys pretty interesting
👍
What's the difference between thermal paste and thermal pad and what about color of thermal also it does matter ??
Good job bro👍👍
I'm not 100% sure but I would assume the thermal pad offers a more even heat transfer over the surface and would not dry up as quickly. But again that's just my guess. Color I'm not sure as well but I would lean toward different type of thermal compound or material would have different colors.
Typically pads are used to fill a gap, and paste is used when you have the surfaces touching. Most are grey, some with white or metallic sheen and one particularly high end paste is pink.
The colour doesn't have to matter at all really. That said, many manufacturers will colour their product lines differently so they're easier to tell apart, or make an easier guess as to which product will be a direct replacement.
@@jacobparis6576 great 👍
Hi if we put the sim tray pine wrongly in the bottom microphone hole will it damage the phone
Hi, no you will be fine, since the mic is seated above the hole.
Finally waiting is over
👍
Thanks for your🤔💭 support of the most popular phone!
You're welcome
How about the power button? Is it difficult to access/fix? Mine broke recently, phone was stuck on reboot loop until the battery ran out. I don't care about the phone much, I just want to access the data, so I'd rather go to a repair shop than contact official support about it (as they would probably do a format if not replace the entire device). What are my chances of success in that case?
Usually the button can be pulled out of the frame on most of the phones by using a knife or blade to grab a side n pull out. But if the flex cable underneath which has the clicker is the problem, its replaceable also but more complex. Its not the hardest thing to replace but not the easiest either. A repair shop should be able to do it
In my case the button is not mechanically pushed in or stuck so I think it's the matter of the wiring... I will be taking it to a repair shop because although I still have the warranty for it, I don't want to lose the data by sending it out to the official service. Thanks for the reply!
Its amazing
I'm watching from Malaysia..
Nice 👍
Is the ambient light sensor and so on under the display like on a samsung or in the bezel.
Its on the board, you can see it @5:03 in the video. It goes towards the top bezel of the phone.
@@PBKreviews Thanks for your answer, I am pleased that you are faster and more thorough than your competitors.
I wonder how much that saves on costs when there are no extra holes in the display for this sensors.

Nice build but need damege protection 🔥🔥

Is putting sim ejector inside mic damaged it?
Nope, mic is seated above the hole.
@@PBKreviews thanks for reply I'm worrying about it.

Time for the durability test, mate!
Hi, durability videos have been done by a few people already, so not sure if I will be doing one.
One thing, where can I get spare parts for my nothing phone 1?
You can try ebay, mobilesentrix.com , rounded.com or other sites. Parts for these phones aren't as widely available as other brands.
Nice one
👍 Thanks!
complex 🔥
Yup 👍
are you recommend this phone?
If you're looking for a decent midranger and not expecting a high end flagship device, I would say yes. Its a decent phone with a sturdy frame that looks good.

Why does it say "pokemon" on the flex cables?
Not sure lol maybe the manufacturer is a pokemon fan
How the Buildquality is?
It's not bad, similar to that of oneplus
Why do the ribbon cable say Pokemon 😋
😄 haha not sure, maybe this is the new nothingmon
When you disassemble a phone and find pokemons
Build quality is good when compared to other Android phones
Yep depends on which phones you compare it too though.
7:00 Why are the cables labelled with pokemon
lol not sure
Like this.
👍 :)
Which is worse to repair, this phone or an iPhone 13 Pro Max?
Iphone I think
Yup, I would rather repair this phone over an iphone.
I can't wait to mod this phone....
yeah would be a fun phone to mod.
Che smartphone particolare. Un po' complesso. Qualitativamente come ti è sembrato?
Yup, quality wise was good.
Is the battery capacity really 4500mah?
It has a typical capacity of 4500mah, and rated at 4365, meaning it should at minimum get you 4365 with a healthy battery
Love the design of this phone. But i'm concerned about how difficult it is to replace the screen. Guess if you break that, it's cheaper to just recycle and buy a new Phone (1).
But at least everything ain't glued to hell and back, like on iPhones.
Yup, its a bit more difficult than most phones to take apart, but not as bad as most iPhones (depending on what part you need replaced).
nothing phone 2 be like: *completely transparent back with a similar Iphone components plus with RGB lights for gaming*
lol
Dust and dirt would probably enter and appear at the back glass.
There is an adhesive seal all around, as long as the back is not cracked or the adhesive has not been removed, it should stay clean.
what the hell all that flex cable
lol
Do drop test of Samsung A73
Not too many people would watch it to justify me spending the money on the phone.
The worst thing is when you are going to close it, no trace can be left, it will be seen from the outside :(
yup
3/10 that's too generous 😑
Waiting for zenphone9 teardown video.
:). I will do it as soon as I can get my hands on one :)
Brother Yor wark is good upload it on tubube 🔥
Thanks 👍
I don`t understand, if they decided to copy apple design, they should also copy the way to disassemble the display. That`s the component that breaks the most and often. On iPhone it`s easy to replace and you don`t need to disassemble the whole phone just to replace one component. Nokia had similar approach to this next to Apple.
I would take 95% of android phones for repair over apple phones any day. iPhones are much more annoying to work with and have so many different type and size screws. The display replacement, sure its a bit quicker. But when you need other things replaced, it becomes much more complex. For example on iPhones, if you drop and break your back glass, replacing that isn't easy at all and in most cases you would have to replace the entire frame assembly. Also say your screen is fine but your charger port went bad, or your battery is bad (which is a commonly replaced part just like the screen), prying the screen off poses a greater risk of damaging a working screen compared to taking off the back cover and going that route. However they can easily design it so the phone can be taken apart from both ends which would be most ideal. Like on the S22, S22+ and S22 ultra, the screen can be replaced by prying it off from the front after heating it up (even though this method is a bit harder since you would need to align the cable correctly to reconnect when pressing down the new replacement screen). Also you can take it apart from the back to replace other components. Hopefully more and more devices will be designed in a way that you can take them apart from the front or back depending on what parts need replacing to make the process much easier :)
@@PBKreviews I know about the other parts, been there, done that, and probably will never repair any iPhone in my life, especially when I have shaky hands :D But I am specifically talking about the displays.
Good thing that most android manufacturers are being reasonable with the screws, but who knows how much is this is going to last? Since everyone likes to blindly copy Apple. Remember that Samsung does not know to make a commercial without mocking Apple, not to mention that they mocked Apple when they removed the headphone jack... Samsung already made difficult replace some parts on their phone, for example I replaced OEM display on my sisters old Galaxy A50 and the fingerprint sensor just does not want to register a new fingeprint.
Yep, hopefully we see more improvements on ease of repairs and less puzzles :)
My Nothing ( Phone 1 ) is like* *what The HecK ArE YOU WATCHiNG BRUH!!!*
haha
@@PBKreviews Good day bro🤣🤣🤕
iQOO Neo 6 teardown please....
will look into it
1:27 who the hell uses covers for flexi cable connectors? apple and now nothing?
They are needed in some instances where there is no plastic cover going over it to hold it down in place. Since sometimes these cables become loose or disconnected from drops.
Watching this video in nothing phone 1😂😂
😃👍
Is it an Indian variant?
yup
what pokemon has to do with nothing ?
not sure
@@PBKreviews just found out that Carl pei is a big fan of pokemon, you can save a contact and name it abra and go to your glyph settings to get special pokemon glyph
Easter egg
Technician nightmare......
So many little pieces adhered down. Looks very annoying to open and service.
Yup, the adhesive isn't too strong so peeling them off isn't difficult but the design is annoying that you have to remove a few things, then unscrew some screws and have to remove a few more things that are covering screws to unscrew those as well. Makes the job much longer and more difficult for those who aren't fluent in taking apart phones for repair.
asus zenfone 9 next
Yup, as soon as I get it :)
Can i request nothing phone 2?
Hi, its already been done by a few people so not sure if I will do that one. If I come across one, I will consider doing it but for now I don't have plans for it :)

@@PBKreviews And It's blocking lights from glyph... Anyway thanks for great video!
It's not tinted as much as you think. Its very light if at all, and when the lights flash they are really bright, just like the white color version so no worries about that :) Thank you 👍
Nay bad phone too many screws
Nihuia me ponial )) no ochen' interesno ))))
:)
Very unrepairable, they could've done the aesthetics as a separate sheet from the actual components. If you want to repair it, you will either ruin the aesthetics or actually damage hardware
Yep, it makes it look better with them being part of some components but makes it difficult at the same time for repairs. Regardless I think it could be designed better so even with them being integrated with components, they could easily be taken off.
pain in the ass......
I was expecting something more from this device, but it is not as interesting inside as expected
aside from the back covers and layout of the parts initially after the back plate is removed, yep its generally the same as most other devices.
If the will make ~5.5 phone, then I will buy it. Market needs a small, well design phone. I am not afraid of glass back today, cuz now I know how easy it is to remove, but metal or good plastick doesn`t brake...
Why someone can`t make "not big" smartphone, with a IPS, replaceable screen (cheap to replace), a battery +4000, an energy and heat efficient processor for a good tool, not a gadget for games, great antennas, audio jack or small, bt module with replaceable battery - smaller and cheaper than q5k, water and dust resistant, stereo speakers loud enough for podcasts and IDEAL e-ink second screen.
Why LG made this boring dual screen... They could add just the e-ink option to be unstoppable. I had to buy used sony prs-350 to put it in to my pocket.
I guess they go more towards what a majority of people want. Also I'm sure they make money on doing repairs and replacements, so they would rather you send in your phone for repairs than make it easy for you to fix it yourself. No idea just my opinion :)
damn.. 3/10 score makes this phone totally useless to repair anyway
Yep, just a lengthy process.
куда болтик дел?
