    I think Samsung and other companies need to learn how Sony to put all the necessary components inside the phone instead of giving excuse to remove features like remove headphone jack and SD card slot. They are capable to do it but just do not want to do it. Thumbs up for the good video 👍

      Yup, some people think its well engineered and some think its old concept. I'n my opinion I think its a good device but they could have engineered it a bit better, more organized and easier to repair and added wireless charging. However the price itself is definitely not worth it to most people, so adding anything extra would only increase the price further. :)

      @@PBKreviews IMO, that feat can be attributed to Apple which vehemently stand for their total control of devices even tough the buyer has spent $1000 more for the iPhone. I like to come back to this video to remind me of how complex the internals are now that I own this phone. The phone itself is amazing and solid construction. After seeing this video I made sure to get good insurance for it since the screen is difficult to replace :-). There is something to be said about Japanese engineering, so much power packed inside a small device but still pretty good on battery life with a few tweaks. Also now I don't have to carry a separate camera to take great photos!

    Первая мысль, которая пришла, при виде такой платы - это метод теплоотвода. Видимо так они решили распределить тепло по корпусу. Не знаю, эффективно ли это, но при записи видео - точно, ведь камера и процессор разнесены на расстоянии, не в одной верхней части телефона. Возможно в этом есть смысл.

    Do you think it would be possible to transfer some heat to the backplate by removing some parts of the plastic cover and adding thermal pads?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 года назад +8

      Thank you. The problem would be, the plastic cover on the back side has antenna lines drawn on it, so damaging that or removing that would probably cause signal issues. Also the processor side and the components which heat up the most on the main board are touching the inside frame portion which is between the screen and the motherboard, so most of the heat from those components is exhausted through the front where the screen is. It might be possible just to add some thermal paste (a very little amount since you don't want it spreading around the chip) on top of the processor, ram and so forth to help transfer heat better. However the way they have designed it, the metal shields which cover the processor and chips are seated firmly against the chips (so the chip makes contact with the shields to transfer heat to it) so there really isn't any room to add much of anything.

    I have no knowledge of phone motherboards and stuff so I have to ask what makes this motherboard so complex? Because to me it doenst look so bad, especially if I compare it to something like the board of a razer blade 14 (laptop)

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 года назад

      Well comparing a laptop to a phone board is a big difference. It's complex in that it has a lot going on, so many cables to disconnect to gain access to replacing commonly replaced parts like charger ports, screens etc. Usually in most phones, you wont need to remove a motherboard say to replace just a charger port, or a screen etc. But this phone the way things are organized you have to take apart the phone almost entirely to gain access to those parts to replace.

    In your opinion, why is there no wireless charger inside this phone? Is it because there is not enough space? Because that's what I'm thinking of ?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 года назад

      I would think if they didn't put that adhesive on top of the battery, they would possibly be able to fit a wireless charging coil over the battery. Or they could make the phone just slightly thicker barely even notice the difference. But probably just a cost cutting measure, the phone already is priced expensive so they probably didn't want to add any additional amount on top. Not sure.

    I don't see any good reason why the way this phone was made this way. I think the its very inefficient, I think Sony can make this more simple while having tha same specs and features and also I think the motherboard can be made smaller to make more room for the battery. Its like sony was left behind when it comes to design and manufacturing while other manufacturers are doing their best to manufacture a phones as easy as possible. This phone looks like it came from 2000's when it comes to how complicated it was build.
