    Wow, the Teardrop is awesome. Small enuf 2 b towed by motorcycle. Tow, set aside, & go 2 sleep, nice setup. Plenty of headroom. Thx 4 sharing on Utube.

    We have a little camper trailer that looks like a compressed teardrop that was designed to tow behind a motorcycle. We actually tow it behind a fully kitted out Toyota Hiace campervan. We bought it as a second bedroom only as all facilities like kitchen are in the Hiace. Unladen it weighs only 220kgs. 2.8 total length and 1.35 metres wide. An absolute doodle to tow. Teardrop campers for either car or bike are great.

    Hi, I just saw your video of your trailer build. Very 👌 nice. I’m thinking of making one for myself. Do you have any drawings for it that you would share? Or what would a similar trailer cost? And shipping cost to Norway.

    I think a flat utility style trailer with an expandable platform to erect a tent on. With simple jacks for leveling. Just enough to get my tent off the ground and level. Thinking about heating and cooling the tent............... Hum ?

    Hi Daniel. With much interest am I watching about your build. I am looking at a teardrop trailer not to sleep in but to use it as a market stall and therfore could be smaller. But looking at it from the goverment perspective it states a trailer shouldn't be higher build than it is wider. Could you pls find the time and collaborate about your expirence with the registration of your trailer. Thanks, much appreciated. From Christian in NSW.

      ctydecks Hi Christian, this is the first I’ve heard about that, but if that was so, than a lot of caravans out there would be illegal. Not to mention trucks and buses. I know max width is around 2.4 m and max height varies around 4.2 to 4.3 m depending of the state. But thanks, I’ll definitely look into it.

      @@1adv143 Hi Daniel. The article is from WA authority. Motorcycle trailers - vehicle safety & standards - construction and use.
      "It states height should be less than TW (track width).
      I seen lots of trailers being pulled by bikes, but maybe I am just paranoid. Thanks for getting back. Like your tear drop nonetheless.

      ctydecks . Thanks for clarifying that, being WA I wouldn’t have known, as I’m a QLD’er. I’ll still look into it. I’ve not had any problems with this yet in QLD, but it might be a state by state thing. Cheers

    Hey mate, my name is Ben. We brought the bigger teardrop off you. Firstly still loving the teardrop since the day we bought it off you. I actually came across this video as now I'm thinking of making one for my bike (ST1100) how does this one go towing? I remember having a quick look at it when we brought the other one.

      Torpz_UF UF Great to hear your happy with the big Td. Im probably biased as I made it but I have had no problems with it, I am now making a couple of these tiny td’s as some people have expressed interest in them.

    50x50 square tube.

    If you're in the UK, does your trailer comply with UK motorcycle trailer law? It looks to me to exceed the allowed dimensions. The DVLA website says the trailer may not be wider than 1 metre....that is outside dimensions at the widest points. In your case it would mean the outside edge to outside edge of each wheel. it also may not exceed 2.5 metres from the centre of the motorcycle rear axel to the furthest rear point on the trailer. Is your camper within those limits? I'm thinking of building something like that myself so I'm interested in your experience with it. My issue is also finding a base light enough to comply with UK law....Maximum towed weight, including the trailer and it’s load must not exceed 150 Kg. (330 lb.) or two thirds of the motorcycles kerbside weight, whichever is least. These are all pretty tight limits.

      Hi...just watching your video again.....I realized you're not in the UK. My mistake. I don't know if building something similiar to your camper would be feasible given the tight restrictions that we have here in the UK. Yours looks really good.

    • @1adv143
      @1adv143  3 года назад

      Sorry but as you can see I’m not in the UK. Queensland Australia. Sounds like you have some pretty tough rules to comply with, can’t help you there.
