- Hey guys so after I made this video I found out that the food to get a better drop rate doesn't work for this and it makes sense. The Magitek Suit is a 100% drop and there is a 5% chance it will become the Magitek Suit V2. That sucks but I would say you should use a different food now. Something to incease attack or crit rate.

these bastards have a weak point on their missile pods before and during they launch their missiles hit the red glow for 3--4 digits amount of damage. Another weak point is on its arm before and during this bastard uses its electric shock AOE.
I recommend eating golden tail soup for 100% crit guarantees , zwills and ignis enchantment.
I got 7 v2 suits need 2 more for prompto.

It doesn't drop, it transforms, it has a 5% chance to transform from something that drops 100% of the time. Drop rate food doesn't affect it.

nice vid, if you put on easy and get revived when dead by carbuncle, you get a massive dmg buff and aim for the rocket launcher when he fires using the warp star of the rogue attack and then go for face after launcher down. can kill him in around 3 minutes like this , also use the always crit food buff.
Btw that drop chance is a waste of a food because it already is 100% drop chance for the suit to drop its a fixed rate.

Just use the Ring of Lucii on his pointy-butt-thing. Works from the first time and even in the Normal difficulty. Go behind him, aim at his butt and then use the ring on it. Takes only 3 seconds. You are welcome.
Does it usually take long to spawn because it's taking me awhile for it to spawn.

U can confirm his respawn with no soldiers the place is where u fight lvl 110 boss on hunt menu in lestalum I've got 12 v2 in 7 days good luck
Farming this with anything other than the Ring of the Lucii is a waste of time. I get it's kind of cheap. But I'm not killing this dude with my weapons 100 times. However thanks for the video and the spot!! Appreciate that very much!!
I'm still in the early chapter, but I grind myself to lv 99 early( no cheating (PS4)). I kill it a few time , but never get the magitek Armour.
They only drop magic core for me. Should I challenge it in the later chapters? I'm in chapter 5 now.
The only robot that spawn for me is the LV 46 MA-Velez Bis, how do a i spawn the LV-76 ???
If you do the save and load, will you still get the magitek suit you just fought for?
finally got my 3rd v2 set for Noctis out of 42 attempts. I've also found this mech to be a good enemy to rank up the techniques of your squad. equip the new tech turbocharger and just attack his feet. I can get to the second bar in 4 seconds using a daggers basic attack and this allows me to spam techniques quickly maxing them out.
I kill this robot in a couple of seconds with a ring or with a Ragnarok sword, it takes a long time before it destroys certain parts. I will never let him kill me because it does not make sense. My level is for now 120 and this boss is not as tough as I thought it was for the first time. When you have a low level, you do not have a chance against him, because you do not do enough damage with weapons, but when you have all the weapons available and you are on a higher level, this boss is dead very quickly.
if i didn't save after i beat him will he re-spawn again if i wait ? or is he one time thing?
i have not once tried this fight on Easy i will never subject myself to the garbage that is easy mode

Does food even affect it? Also with the most recent update now, you have a small chance to 1-move kill it with the enhanced ring of Lucii :)

So question... Having the Sword of the Father in one of your 4 weapon slots gives you a strength boost EVEN if you're using a different weapon?
Yes. That goes for every weapon I think when it comes to their stats

got my first V2 after 6th fight! crit food is expensive lol, saving up for vault dungeons, normal food will do it 10 mins fight. Still farming my 2nd V2.
Is there some unwritten rule against using the ring to obliterate everything in the game? I get that its cheap but so is easy mode, where is the line drawn? Honestly the ring is the worst thing to happen to an FF game since that exploit in FFVI that lets you one ahot dethgaze.

Am on the normal ps4 so loading is longer but so far am at this same spot killed 7 so far no v2 suit drop grrrr, hopefully some luck tomorrow. I didn't know that in the beginning I had to keep killing those mechs and his little bro the lv76 robot, for this lv99 to spawn next. I have holiday plus so I keep switching between techno charger and armiger accessory which for is really helpful. With two enchantments from Ignis really helps with armiger combo. Crit food also.

I killed angelous 2 times and got v2 both times I have killed him a total of 6 times try to brake the cannon arm that shoots the flak straight up that's what I did both times I got the v2

Better to suggest they eat the Critical hit food buff. Drop rate increase does nothing because Magitek Suit is a 100% drop. It only have a 5% chance to CHANGE into V2. The drop rate increase does nothing for something that transforms, not drops. Wasting a good food buff spot.
Avinal i saw the video where the guy said that and i think its bs for two reasons, 1 i have the official strategy guide with all the drops and game mechanics explained and 2. So it "changes" into v2??? When has in any rpg an item drop changed? Lol it a % drop using different items. Theres a primary secondary and appendage drop according to the guide

Limit Breaks makes this fight easier as well.

I am curious cuz I have all the limit break perks and not a single attack I tried broke the limit on him. His defense was to high.
