To be fair, he speedran a game while explaining things mostly coherently, talking generally, doing puzzles, and controlling two characters independently. That takes some talent. A few deaths is perfectly acceptable.

Despite the music only being a short loop, I absolutley love the music in this game. The "symmetrical" levels go so hard
Things I like about this speed runner is that he isn't trying to beat others, he's trying to make his own goals.

I AGREE. He’s never trying to master a single speed run but instead just doing it and showing us how he did it and other things like that.
instead of trying to be fast as possible in papa's, he tries to give as many people food poisoning as possible
I also do that, it is sometimes a healthier way of setting goals than competing for wr from the beginning

Fun fact: If you're frame-perfect, you can jump on the wooden platforms without actually making them move
actually holding the jump button before any character land on a platform will make it stay still

when I played this as a kid I never knew it was supposed to be a two-player game, so I played it all by myself and also got the speed-things. Apparently I was ahead of my time lol

12:51 There is actually a really fast way of doing this level that me and my friend discovered. If you go to the blue platform on the left, and do a tight jump on top of the diagonal ramp, you can actually reach the white switch and beat the level without actually doing it.
The nostalgia is so strong with this one wow

The sequals are really really good too, my personal favorites are the light temple and the snow one. So good

When I was in 7th grade, I and a friend would always eat lunch in our sixth period teacher's classroom. We ended up beating all four of the temples (Forest, Light, Ice, and Crystal) by the end of the semester, AND got A's on all the levels. It was fun. And hard. I was usually fireboy.
