@TitoYuca The harder version with your feet off of the floor causes your hip flexors, quadriceps, and lower abs to engage more thoroughly than with this easier version. Also, your core has to work harder overall in order to maintain balance because your feet are no longer there for stability. Thanks for the question! -Kelli
@TitoYuca As long as you keep your back flat and you don't swing too quickly from side to side the version with your feet up is perfectly safe. That is of course assuming that you have a normal healthy back with no chronic injuries or medical issues such as a bulging disc, fused vertebra, rods in your spine, etc. If you are not sure if it would be right for you, it is always a good idea to ask your doctor. -Kelli
Run at full speed for a certain amount of time. The intensity is very high and burns a lot of calories. Running at max is better than jogging for 30 minutes. After running, your body needs to recover; this burns a lot of calories while at rest. Ab workouts create muscle, but doesn't help you lose belly fat. The muscles in your stomache that you created pushes out the fat, making you look more fat. Like I said, run really fast, losing fat and creating leg muscles at the same time.
@cynicalhilarity Anywhere from 12-20 reps is ideal. If you like, you should check out some of our full length workout videos for an idea about how many reps & sets to do of different exercises.
There's a lot of talk about twisting exercises being terrible for your back. I always thought using the spine as a rotation axis was a bad idea a since the spine doesn't spin or has pivots that would allow it to carry out the motion without straining its structure. The spine safe range of twist is about 10-13 degrees from center while you look straight ahead. Long term twisting could cause unnecessary strain on the lower back that needs to be kept neutral as much as possible during a workout - even when lifting dumbbells.
@cynicalhilarity Try the "25 Minute Abs & Obliques Workout" video on our website under "full length workout routines". RUclips wont let me post a link, sorry! If you need to, just do 1 or 2 rounds until you get a bit stronger but it should work well for someone new to focusing on the core. Let me know if that works or if you would like something a bit easier.

hey how long would it normally take to lose belly fat and get abs @FitnessBlender
You can't spot reduce fat, work on your full body to lose fat percentage overall.
@FitnessBlender no problem, thanks for the response. is the feet-off-floor version safe for the lower back?

you cannot get rid of fat in one area, not possible, read up on spot reduction.
