Your thoughtful videos and insights took me from 150 subs to 8,000 Aprilynne-I am proud to call myself a student (and fan!) of your work. THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge and insights with so many creators, and helping them create compelling content for their audiences.
I've watched this a couple of times and taken notes along the way. This is superb and will help so many of us by providing a framework for our storytelling. On my 2nd watch, I noticed that he even used input bias in the final payoff: 24:25 "give her the finding nemo happy ending she deserved by driving her 8 hours down the coast back to the exact beach where she was raised" We can all agree that 8 hours is a long time to drive, and he probably could have released her in the ocean closer to him. But by driving to THIS spot, he is highlighting the effort it took and the importance of respecting sweet little sashimi. This is a masterclass.
Hey girl hey! I’ve been waiting for you to drop another video😊 I know you are dedicated to doing well researched and thorough work. Thank you for your videos!
That was great. I don't even know how I ended up getting your newsletter (well done) but by the 2nd one, I read it to the end and watched this video while making notes. Incredibly well done. I love the graphics, pacing, everything. Now will try and incorporate some of it!
This is a fantastic breakdown of Mark Rober’s approach. Thank you for putting so much effort into your videos, I know so many people will benefit from this information.
The point about promise and desire in the set-up was so insightful! It really got me thinking. Also, I appreciated how you outlined different ways Mark Rober builds tension. This was 🔥🔥🔥!
Amazing video Aprilynne! My video's definitely need this treatment to make them waaay more substantial. Thank you for doing the hard work of dissecting the craft of YT
I’m loving your channel… I’m literally watching every single video you’ve posted. Great advice. Thank you so much! I’m gonna use this for my very small 84 sub channel.
I was literally thinking at the beginning, "a whole week of researching a single channel? I wonder how much someone could learn after spending that much time analyzing success at that level even for a full day, let alone a week." And THAT'S what captured my interest! Thank you for teaching and demonstrating that lesson so clearly
Thank you for this video Aprilynne! It took me 3 hours to analyze everything and to make a template for making my video's! You are really helping me to get my channel better ❤.
@JamesDignanFB Really trying to do by end of day (my time) today! I'm currently in Tokyo, so there's a bit of a time zone difference. But definitely in the next 2-3 days!
So glad you've been enjoying the videos!! Once a week unfortunately isn't possible for me currently (I'm a team of one, and these videos take a LOT of work!) But I am hoping to get to once every 2 weeks or 3 times every 2 months!
I absolutly loving your videos! This effort you put in, the way you show everything - its perfection. Would love to see you talking about life of riza though :D
I feel this is a practical class on how to apply what you shared in other videos! Loved the storytelling part- but how would you apply it to video where there is a top 10?
Ya got me I subbed, your content is really good and provides alot of value without the fluff. Plus the resources you give too. Amazing channel glad I found you
A huge fan of Mark Rober and one of his Hack Pack subscribers. I'm now creating my own YT videos to promote, inspire and support the Hack Pack community he is building. This video was a perfect combination of training for my own story development and inspiration by understanding why I'm so caught up in his videos. Well done!!
Another amazing video! I found this one to be particularly insightful, particularly the storytelling lesson. If I may, I do also have a question. This video format is undeniably excellent and a good base to build off of for almost any video type, but I always struggle to put lessons like this into practical use in my niche (wildlife education). So, would you have any tips on how a more-education-based channel would be able to apply some of these steps? (There are some easy ones, such as showing how much research went into a video, but other aspects don't quite click with me.) Regardless, thanks again for another excellent lesson!
This video has great info, thank you so much for this. It is clear that you put a ton of time into this video. I am going to use this info on my own thumbnails. Thank you so much 🙏🏻❤️
@ I know all that researching wasn’t easy, you deserve at least one night of good sleep ! lol cant wait to see next one, in the meaning I’m putting this one on repeat 😎
I can´t believe how your videos can be amazing as they are now! Congratulations and thanks for all your help doing this! it's really helpful i hope you reach 100k soon
great, thorough, and over the top informative video. as usual. You vids are always so helpful. thank you for all the time you put into these, and the deep levels of information you share.
hey , i have a question , I use the 'related video' tab on all my shorts to link the full 'long form' video , Is there a metric on YT analytics that shows what percent of people clicked on the link? , I've been trying to find it for so long but no success so far. (sorry this isn't related to your video but i need help)
@ Are you kidding, thank you for the wealth & depth of knowledge. I watch ALL of the RUclips how to ‘gurus’ and the ones I find the consistently the most informative and helpful are yours and Paddy Galloway’s (for current events/trends Collin & Samir). Thank You for the research and depth of information that you provide in your videos.
Thanks 👍 Aprilynne for another awesome, informative and helpful video and appreciate your videos. Love 🥰 the video and love 💓 Aprilynne and her channel.
Hey april, after learning a lot from you... do you think if you swap the word "blueprint" from the thumbnail with "secret" the results will be different?
Tips for you: I don't know why but the hook was very weak for this video, I just wasn't convinced. My engagement only started AFTER the hook, I think that's why your vid is underperforming a lot. (I don't know why). 2: I felt underwhelmed in your closing 40 seconds, it didn't end on a high note, despite that it was an amazing video. the part at 25:15 lost me.
I have a question. During the video you often mention that don't have to go that far. How do you know that creator don't have to go that far to make it?
Mark Rober makes it look easy, but I’m starting to wonder: is it the crazy ideas, the storytelling, or the huge payoffs that keep us all hooked? What's the secret sauce for you?
Mark's incredibly storytelling skills are what drew me to want to analyze his channel in the first place! He's so intentional about it, and it really pays off
Would you consider sharing the 50 pages of research? I mean you can do landing page to get leads by sharing it ... this second time i want to see your research not as video but as researching .... many people struggle to research to be honest
