    Early extension. Head comes up and away to make room since the hips move toward the ball. Could gain some distance and accuracy by staying in posture. I’m sure it works but it could be more sound. Lots of pieces moving that don’t need to.

    Relaxed wrist = more accuracy. This is true in most sports. Tennis, pickleball, volleyball, lacrosse, etc. There is more control and less room for error

    • @maxwired2235
      @maxwired2235 3 месяца назад +1

      💯 but how do you make that happen, and what should the wrists look like?

    • @RooCTVB
      @RooCTVB 3 месяца назад +4

      @@maxwired2235 The less you bring your wrist back in the take back, the less it has to come through while you swing. If you can take your club/racket/hand back without straining your wrist (making a curve between your hand and forearm) you will be more accurate and more comfortable

    • @williammills8953
      @williammills8953 3 месяца назад

      @@RooCTVBmaybe that's why my swing is good. I don't take my back swing back that far. I usually stop around the top of my right shoulder. And then bring it down in more of a narrow plane. I drive the ball around 250 every time. And straight as well. I just wish I could get more distance. But having lymphedema in the legs and cellulitis. It makes my whole body sore. So I can't get out much. I used to golf more when I was in my 30s.

    Not to be viewed as an insult in any way but I think due to the girth around and under his arms he is in a way made to move his hips a little towards the ball to make sure he gets back to his starting point at impact. Those who don't have this to combat should indeed keep the hips back and swing around the spine instead of moving hips forward.

    Seems to me like he has a good grip which not everyone has. Also his trail elbow stays tight to his side through out the entire swing which is gonna promote consistency - I think his swing path is by necessity due to his figure. But it’s also impressive he has the hip turn to begin with.

    When you said he should keep his hips back more what are you reffering to? Like hips behind the ball or where are the hips supposed to be in relation to rest of the swing?

    • @longdrivebryce
      @longdrivebryce  3 месяца назад +1

      That line that starts up against his back side, see how there’s a gap between it by the time he makes contact with the ball? His hips gliding towards the golf ball throughout the swing is what causes his tiny over the top move, and also makes it real tough to have a good swing path and consistent ball striking. If you watch the pro’s at impact their backside is still right against that original line. I hope that helps!

    Takes it way inside on the takeaway tho

    • @longdrivebryce
      @longdrivebryce  3 месяца назад

      It is an inside takeaway, his short backswing helps him “save” it. IMO he stands a bit too far away from the ball (which leads to an inside takeaway) because he needs that extra room since his hips glide towards the ball into impact. It all works together

    It’s a one plane swing right?

    Serious question… why does it look like he’s tee’d up so high?

    • @longdrivebryce
      @longdrivebryce  3 месяца назад

      It does look higher than most, I’d say about 3/4 of the ball is above the top of his driver head, which allows for him to hit up on the ball with an AoA probably in the 5 degree range. This helps him take spin off the ball, launch it higher, and get some extra distance vs a lower tee height and lower angle of attack

      He actually said in a vid awhile back why he does it. His instructor was telling him to get lower and he was like "nah, I'll just tee it higher" 🤣

    I mean, love FP, but let’s be honest that was a really flat takeaway and he looped over the top of it. He has a great move but I don’t think this is the BEST example of mechanics on YT golfers you can use here

      @@longdrivebryce left arm is parallel with ground at some point in the swing in ANY swing.

  • @MelbnCoffee

    Left arm parallel lol. There a million things that can happen to make the ball go where it goes. Stop telling people nonsense. Clubface could be 10 degrees open BUT HIS LEFT ARM WAS POINTING AT THE TARGET IN THE BACKSWING!

    FP is just as inconsistent as any weekend golfer. Remember, he’s a CONTENT creator.. no one will watch a bad golfer constantly unless they lose their shit and destroy a $3k set of clubs. You only see what these dudes want you to see.
