Out of all the golf channels, yours is by far the best. I've just started playing again after 20 yrs or so, but this time, my son has got the golf bug and it's relit my fire to play again. I was quite suprised within the fist 10 hits at the range, I managed to drive 231 yrs, after all that time not hitting a ball. You're an inspiration. Best tips, thank you.

Nice Video! Excuse me for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you heard the talk about - Yanaylee Yanrooklyn Magic (do a search on google)? It is a good exclusive guide for unlocking an effective golf swing technique minus the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate after a lifetime of fighting got amazing results with it.

This was great, thanks, been searching for "how to hit a driver consistently" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Reyuhaffad Underlying Recognition - (search on google ) ? It is an awesome one off product for discovering how to revealing an effortless golf swing technique without the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my neighbour got excellent success with it.

After watching this video I accidentally broke my neighbor's window! Your video inspired to set up my back yard net today. I hadn't set it it up in at least a year. After setting it up, I took a few practice swings with my 7 iron, and then hit the very first ball, which proceeded to go through the net, and was followed by a huge crash. It broke a big window on my neighbor's house. Apparently the net had dry rotted... but it was a very solid strike.

@@christybrantley8092 depending on how close you are to a driving range and how many people you have in your area that would be interested, you could make a driving range. take couple hundred dollars and buy a bunch of range balls, then clear out a long section of pasture. you could walk off some yardages and put flags and then set up an area for people to come hit. you’d make your money back fairly quickly and then you’d be reusing all your balls you’ve previously bought mostly, just would have to find the time to pick them up, which would take more money to buy a picker but you’d over time make your money back and then besides if you have to buy more balls hear and there for lost ones, it’s 100% profit

As always thanks for all your hints and tips Rick - I practiced these for the past weeks and finally went out and played a round of golf last week and ended up shooting 10 shots under my "normal" score which worked out at 6 under par nett - I chopped 1.8 off my handicap!!.
I am now smashing my irons 15 to 20 yards longer AND straighter each time + hitting my driver much more consistently making me more positive each time I stand behind the ball - if only I had discovered your tips sooner in my golfing adventure.

I didn't even go to the range. I played today I shoot a 43 as opposed to a 52 on the same course. The biggest difference was the tilt and shoulder back on driver. Then the 55% weight forward on irons. Thats a 7 stroke difference! I can't wait to get to the range and actually practice. I had a great time today, and it's because of that video. Thank you Rick

I'm crap at golf... but I watched this last night before playing a round this morning and improved my driving instantly. Every single drive (except for one) was lofted and while not always on target, they were nowhere near as erratic as the lower drives I used to hit. The irons advice takes some practice and I found myself to be horribly inconsistent at striking the ball cleanly - When i got it right, they launched like a missile but others were really fat.

I play around with my tee height, if it comes off the face low, I know I have to tee it up higher, I mark my tees at the height I need them to be, keeps the shot consistent

I've watched numerous videos trying to see the difference between driver and iron swings as I hit my irons lovely but my driver swing is awful 😭 this video is by far the easiest to follow. I want to hit the range now 😅 thanks Rick 👍

That was the best I have ever had that explained. I do almost everything you say in the driver set up, just put that together from feel and observation. I smoke my driver and am usually fairly accurate but I am a terrible iron player. Will try to adjust with your set up and tips. The other thing I realized watching you and others is the steeper swing angle on the irons. I should start improving! You are a really solid instructor! Thank you! 🙏🏻

Hey Rick, I feel like one of my biggest problems when driving is allowing my back shoulder to drop too far down causing my club face to open on the down swing. I feel like this may be the result of trying to stay titled in the down swing instead of covering the ball with my chest. Any suggestions??

(In case RS doesn’t see your comment) I’d check my lead wrist. When that happens to me, it’s because the angle change makes me extend my wrist away from neutral and open the face.

Rick Shiels, your videos are great! I'm brand new to golf (approximately 1 month). I've been using all your videos for reference and I was seeing great results. I recently signed up for lessons and the coach was very impressed with what I already knew in such a short time. Thank you so much for showing everyone and myself hiw fun the game can be. I look forward to becoming the best I can and to enjoy my time on the course when I'm ready to take the next step. Rock on Rick 🤘

Another brilliant video from the only on line coach who has made a positive difference to my game.
What I notice too is that you use the same grip with your 7 iron as you do with your driver. I tend to bring my right hand a bit further over my left with my irons, which isn’t the most comfortable. Will give the driver style grip a go.
    Thanks again.

This is explained EXPERTLY. He's clear, precise, gives the technical aspects with angles and weight balance with professionalism. I am fortunate to have attained a truly expert level in first-class professional boxing coaching, abd the fundamentals of that standard are also evident here. If he wanted, he could go much deeper into the methods. Thanks.

Thanks for this, Rick. This video helped a ton!
I'm a complete beginner to golf and on my first 3 times at the driving range I couldn't hit a driver to save my life but wasn't too bad with a 7 iron. After watching this video today, I managed to hit about 60-65% of my drives today pretty well. Not getting a lot of distance yet but I have a pretty slim build so not too worried. I was so happy hitting 5 drives in a row clean and straight around 150 yards. 👍

Managed to par 3 holes ( par 3 & two 4’s) when playing a 9 hole last week. Just need to work on the mental game to iron out the +5 over par holes 😅
