Although I've listened to this song for decades it hits home when one has loved and lost but finds that special person to share what remains of life in the Autumn of our years. The words "In my life I'll love you more", tells a bittersweet truth every day we have is to be cherished and not taken for granted. So going forward let's love with a purpose.
My favorite song from the Beatle's Rubber Soul album in 1965. The Seekers do an exceptional version here, with Judith's crystal clear beautiful voice, at age 69! WOW , no female voice better at any age!! Just adore her.
What a lot of composers and others have commented on about this song, no matter who is singing it IS: THIS IS A BEATLES SONG! Shows you what kind of talent was in that group.
im happy this music group made all of the right choices, and with that is still here and making either a mark in their world or a change in our own lives... an end of an era but a great one to remember.
Keep a song in your heart, and a twinkle in your eye, the SEEKERS folk singers to the world. Judith you are of course Australian 🇦🇺, but if I may, I’d like to make you an honorary Montana USA 🇺🇸 citizen as well! And my Dear, to me, I know of no higher honor.
Just sent a tweet to Douglas Henshall, the actor to go to You Tube and listen to her. It is so good that after all these years, they have got back together and Judith really puts her heart into this song
I often try to encourage friends to give Judith and the Seekers a listen, but sometimes it's frustrating. I think maybe they're just not hearing what I'm hearing. But of course, I see the same reluctance with some mainstream Seekers fans regarding Judith's brilliant work in traditional jazz. Judging from some comments and low view numbers you'd think it was a spoonful of castor oil instead of great music.
A brilliant song from a brilliant group. I had the priviledge of seeing them in Brighton in 2014, in Bournemouth in 2000, and London in both 1994 and 1995. In answer to comments previously about the Seekers recording it back in sixities, there is a booklet called 'I am the Seekers' published in 1967. In it is a picture with Judith rehearsing and on the music stand infront of her is the sheet music of 'In my Life' so maybe there is an undiscovered out take of this somewhere????? A bit of research for someone maybe....
This is the first time I have found and listened to this Seekers recording of a song by Lennon & McCartney. As ever Judith Durham’s singing is absolutely wonderful. Selby16 says The Seekers are a master class in everything and he is definitely not wrong. This is definitely superior to The Beatles recording and I do hope that Paul McCartney loves it because he really should!.
I've always thought that "In My Life" was a remarkable, an outstanding song, wise beyond the years of the writers. I never imagined that the Beatles original could be improved upon. I'm very happy to admit that I was clearly wrong and very appreciative that you shared this. Thank you so very much.
Piękny i zajmujący uwagę , niepowtarzalny głoś Judith...chyba cud, że natura obdarzyła ją tak wspaniałymi warunkami wokalnymi i urodą. Wspaniałe zjawisko ale kiedy to było? Mam wiele słów podziwu dla Judith i The Seekers.
the seekers are capable of picking up great compositions from other authors and transform them in works of fine art for the posterity. Their renditions improve upon what the original authors produced. These are not cover performances at all.
Am wondering way judith durham and her husband ron didn't have any children together maybe because her health with her lung diseased stop her having children too
Not only an unforgettable voice, Judith still looks so great she always wears such pretty dresses, is so feminine, has a lovely figure and such a beautiful nature. It's uplifting to watch her with her fellow performers the group are icons of Australia, Judith we want you to stay with us forever because We'll Never Find Another You.
@Lester Schmidth I was going to say the same thing, and also add that she was/is very self-conscious and unhappy with her looks! I suppose that's natural, but even today I cannot take my eyes off her.
@Lester Schmidth Totally enchanting, indeed. Never wrote poems myself, but she is very much worth all that any male human being might be brought to penning. Impossible to say whether or not she saw yours, but no woman is unhappy before flowers or verses she inspires. Remember though, that she still pines for Ronald and perhaps prefers to hold the appreciation of others' in discreet, grateful, slience. That's how I see her.
WOW! Judith…I fell in love with you the moment I’ve seen you for the first time! You have that very rare quality of both…the most beautiful voice and…the most beautiful presence to look at and adore! I know the whole world is missing you now! However, when we get to Heaven, we hope we will meet you again!
This is just too good. Maybe the finest cover of a Lennon-McCartney song ever. Judith Durham is a gift from Australia to the world, and all four of the Seekers continue to show the power of music in this age of noise. A masterwork recording. Thanks from America.
+RJ McAllister Well said RJ. They've been my heroes since the sixties and I've been lucky enough to see them in concert 3 times. The last time was on their 50th anniversary tour in London and they sounded as good as ever.Keep enjoying their music buddy and God bless you. Also a big thank you to Danny161853 and others for their uploads.
Judith on a picnicking blanket.....shoes off and wearing a very pretty dress. I remember a time when a woman could be ravishingly sensuous and still be modestly dressed. I wonder what ever happened to those days.....
That rich acoustic sound they had in the mid 60's would have been perfect then for a cover of this Beatles' classic but this version is not shoddy by any means.
This is a beautiful song covered expertly by The Seekers. Its my opinion The Seekers version and Judy Collins version of this song is better than The Beatles it might be the female lead but Judy`s version is also great and worth a listen if you like this song.

Judith was one of a very few whose voices could never be mistaken for any other. A goddess.

Just a superb rendition of one of my fab four favs.

I prefer the Beatles Version because of the Vocal harmonies of John and Paul.
I prefer the seekers version Judith voice is a voice of an angel

Judy Collins does a good rendition also
She does, and so does Olivia Newton John, maybe my favorite
A one of a kind gift to.us all.
Замечательно.
Very Nice!!

Vale Judith, your voice and humanity will be missed 💕

You can say that again😢
Judith and the Seekers always take a song and breathe their magic into it!
🎉
But they never return back to Canada again after they got together 25 yrs later
Beyonce take note.
Why are you showing a younger judith durham with a 2013 video for why isn't judith durham singing this song at her age iat 70yrs old for?
Am wondering way judith durham and her husband ron didn't have any children together maybe because her health with her lung diseased stop her having children too
Denny161853 how can i chat with you on a one on one here

I fancy her big time and what a great voice!

@Lester Schmidth I think you mean "mesmerised", and are totally right!

Should have been the last song on MAD MEN
pretty song
R.I.P. Dear Judith.
Where is the old video to this song here too?
nice vid denny lovely eyes lovely lips lovely lady
+Stephen Heath Yes. Judith had beautiful eyes and luscious lips
My favourite Beatles song sung by the one and only beautiful Judith. If only Judith would have covered this 50 years ago.
No one's version is better than John Lennons and the Beatles Fact
Beautifully done
Her voice and her charisma can hardly be described in words.
If you can't find the video that goes with the song. leave the video out. It makes it look like it was done by a novice.
Ah the video police . . . and if it was made by a novice? It'll look just the way it should . . . and if a novice makes it as you advise then it'll look like it's been made by a pro . . and we'll all be deceived . . as you'd intend? Wgaf? We're here for the singing and it is terrific . .
Excellent video....... Creators create and and whiners whine.
Jim Hogg
Some people just have to find something to moan about. They're attention "seekers".......the rest of us are here to enjoy the music.
I love the photos, the video, but the music...ahhh.
