IIRC, the implication is that The Gorger-Lord is literally Custodisi. In a previous video The Emperor got mad at him and hit him with psychic powers and he disappeared, not to be seen until this video. He got isekai'd into the Warhammer Fantasy world.

He is indeed Custodisi. Which makes the fact that Sir Whamri, a regular human, lopped the arm off of an actual Custodes all the more impressive

Funny thing: Magnar Buckethead was Magnus' character he was going to use for the campaign but since he was forced into the GM role he had to quickly turn him into an NPC, thus why he had stats. All of this would've been avoided if everyone at the table didn't force Magnus into being the GM, which considering he didn't want to be the GM he did a pretty good job of it aside from trying to force everyone back on track when they went too off the rails but that could also have just been him being bitter that he was forced to be GM and everyone started ganging up on him over it.

To be fair every GM rail roads to a degree. Since you can't run a game when the players to a direction where nothing exists.

Pretty much everyone in the group is an archetype of an DnD player:
    - Celestial Shaman Queen being the Min-Maxer who wants to be the most powerful in the game.
    - Sir Wamri le Savoureux being the standard, player that gets pretty into it.
    - Urban the Hagflayer, Murderhobo.
    - Nrod Lagorsson, player who doesn't know how to roleplay so they put themselves in the game as characters.
    - Brukham Nougat, the Rule Lawyer.
    - Krakus, the player that leans to much into a bit that only they find funny.
    - Bulgo Potatoskin, the player that might not know how to play the game but are stupidly lucky.
    - Benny McBackstab, the Edgelord that use "That's what my character would do" as an excuse to fuck over the other players.
    - Rolf, the player that was dragged into the game but slowly gets into it and has fun.

And I have had the displeasure of being in many such party where everyone does different things and nothing gets done

If I were a constant DnD player, my characters would be a mix of Krakus and the Shaman Queen.
Except I would Max-Min my character and STILL have them act like they are the hottest shit since sliced bread.
And they would constantly bring the party into weird situations because that's what my character would do (my character is legitimatly braindamaged) and because I think it is funny.
I once played a Dwarf Slayer in a Warhammer Fantasy one-shot. We were going through the Chaos Wastes with our party and then we saw trolls in our way and everyone was talking strategy about how to best attack the trolls and then I just went "I charge at the trolls while howling."
Everyone was damaged in that fight - except me, funnily enough.

I like to believe that as a Custodes, Whammudes can roll all those tens in a row thanks to his superhuman dexterity.

    • @Nightmare_52
      @Nightmare_52 Месяц назад +5

And he only rolled the 9 because he got way too excited about it all and fumbled the dice thanks to his oily grip

for context on Magnar Buckethead and the "shitty elf" he refered to, you'd need to watch the "Ravandils Quest" series, which takes place in a Warhammer Fantasy roleplaying game. It's made by Karl the Deranged, a friend of Alfa's and even works on editing and voicing some things in the TTS series

I like the implication that 40k and Warhammer fantasy are each just the "Hell" of each other.

well 40k might have created fantasies universe
but fantasy also has a glass ball that either can see 40k and literally houses it's universe

My personal headcanon for the brettonians powerboost, is that at that moment the lady of the lake saw his chivalry and bravery and made him a grail knight on the spot. Grail Knights are pretty much knightly super soldiers.

While on the table top side, those consecutive 10s were likely in part due to the superhuman dexterity a Custodes would have when setting their mind to do so

It's amazing how they managed to fit almost every single ttrpg player archetype into the special. We've got the consummate roleplayer, the self-insert, the rules lawyer, -three- *four* different flavours of That Guy, and the guy who's just there because his friends are playing.

I remember when this first came out.
I was... younger (I don't actually remember WHEN this came out), but I absolutely loved this episode.
I had always wanted to play pen and paper, but never had when I watched this.
    Haven't really done since, either.
But after this I actually DMed two times (which is to say, two meetings) and I had a HUGE campaign planned, where the party is invited to a noble man's estate near Reikland, who is dying of an illness and they have to get that noble's son, so that he can become the heir - and the advisor of that noble man (who is a Mage of Shadows with a severe limp) planned the trip and everything.
And I wanted to have it be revealed, that he is an agent of Nurgle, who was supposed to set up a cult in the capital.
But then I never continued that campaign because I hated DMing.
I am like the Karstodes in that context. I get bored VERY easily.

Hey. Seems some devs also felt it was a shame a game like Arcanum was left to rot. They haven't remade the original, but they have taken the idea of magic and technology struggling for dominance in a world of humans, elves and other strange races to craft their own setting. The game is called New Arc Line and going into early access soon. The channel ACG has a video going over the preview he was able to play.
Looks like it could have potential. So since I've been pointing you toward other games of its type. I'd let you know about this latest find.
