- WHY THE FUCK DOES ALASTOR SOUND SO GOD DAM SEXY IN FRENCH!?!?!?
... Okay but in all seriousness, when I saw that Hazbin Hotel had gotten a french dub I was actually surprised. I honestly didn't expect that. But I'm happy that there is a French dub. Who knows, maybe we will get more dubs of this show. And eventually more people will care enough about this pilot for it to continue. And also because this dub gives me a good reason to make a new video because god dam Alastor in French sounds sexy as fuck!!! Actually, it's not JUST Alastor, all the characters sound dam good in French and Niffity I want to hug even more now! But hey, Alastor's gotta be the one I make the video on because popularity. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't make this video just because a character is popular but considering I actually do like Alastor myself no way am I not gonna make this video!
Oh, and for any of you smart asses who hate Hazbin Hotel and only clicked on this video to tell everyone how much it "Sucks" and is over rated, please fuck off and let us enjoy our self's! Thank you.

When I made this video back in May I only expected it would get 10 to 100 views at best since that is what I have come to expect from most of the videos and the only video that's ever gotten up to 10k is my Hitler Reacts to the Fallout 4 trailer I made back in 2015! Compared to that video all I really did for this was cut out any and all clips of anyone one else other than demon husnado talking.
All I can say is thanks to everyone who has watched and liked this video. You honest to god have no idea how much this actually means to me to get a video up to this many views. ❤

OMG I love moment at 0:23 when he says "Ça serait déjà chose faite" (It would already be done). This sounds the most prettily among all the languages I've heard.
First off, everyone who had a hand in the French translation and voice acting in this has my respect. It couldn't have been easy to do this. Those people did a fantastic job on this! Even though this is wonderful, I still prefer the original English voice. While I do like the fact that the radio effect on his voice was toned down, it's not the same to me. Ed's voice for Alastor seems to fit him more. At least, to me it does. The fact that I don't speak French may also play a part in my preference for his original English voice.
I can definitely see where you're coming from! As some who knows both French and English, I honestly adore his French voice. He's a character with so many specific mannerisms and that kind of stuff can't really be directly translated, so they had to adapt it for French, and it honestly works just beautifully. Major props to whoever voiced him because it is just such a joy to hear those little affectations portrayed so well in translation, especially with a language as (sometimes) idiosyncratic as French. Same for most of the rest of the dub actually, pretty much every character has a lot of eccentricities which were amazingly adapted, so I guess it just really hyped me up. I agree that the English version is probably better overall, but it is just so exciting to see those kinds of details in translation.

I thought the singing part was really good. I'm pretty skeptical of dubs (I watch them and some are very well done) mostly for the fact that what is being said won't match the lip-syncing.

J'ai comparé la version anglaise et française, j'ai remarqué que le coté "radio" est plus prononcé sur la version française. Grâce a ceci sa lui donne plus de charme et rend son surnom en plus crédible.
Étonnant que tu est trouver le dît coté "radio" plus prononcer en français, car les doubleurs de la VF on dit dans un live qu'ils avait utilisé exactement le même effet que la version original. Mais après peut-être que ça vient du fait, qu'en français, on à plus l’impression d'entendre un ancien présentateur radio comme dans le films. (enfin... moi j'ai cette impression en tout cas)

I kinda hope Alastor had a creole old timey French accent. He is from the south. But I get if that takes a back seat to the radio announcer style of speech.
I saw a comment on a video about Alastor speaking with a cajun accent about if he was capable of changing stations like an actual radio. So that it would give a reason for him to speak in different voices.

French person here, gotta say I’m impressed , translating from English to French can be really tricky as French has a vocabulary about thrice as complicated, but they used it to their advantage and picked an hyperbolic vocabulary in old French to reinforce the whole Radio Host feel and it works really well! I mean I’m always the first to cringe with French dubs but you can tell his part was rewritten carefully and the actor did a great job!

Although the comments had me hallucinating over how lovely his voice would be.
