Super cute terrarium. We cleaned out old large Yankee candle jars. Added the soil and rock and then foraged the yard for moss and decor. I have had mine covered with the candle top for two years now and it’s beautiful. It was a great way to recycle. We did this for a party and all the guests brought one home. They loved making them. Enjoy the day.
Good cold morning from Missouri, currently -7 degrees… (come on spring) oh I love the terrarium, and the little fairy! I would definitely purchase that if I saw it in a store! Love what you do! Stay warm!!
I make terrariums with my second grade students each year. We use two two-liter bottles that I cut so we can plant in one and the other nests into that one to create a cover. This year we planted a philodendron, peperomia, and a tradescantia plant in them. We always plant them before winter break and then the students take them home for Mother's Day in May. This year we have about 70 terrariums sitting in my classroom windowsills.
You can always make a cone out of an A4 sheet of paper and direct soil or little ricks to the area you want them to go in instead of trying to fit your hand in a tight vase :). Great terrarium!
The fairy was exactly what this garden needed! Too cute! And the little white flower is adorable too! Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents with us!
Terrariums are fun. Easy to care for. The fairy brought interest, just hanging out there among all the green. And that tiny white flower ,looks like spring has arrived in there.
Laura, the next time you and your mom go thrifting/antiquing, be on the lookout for a large Lazy Susan so you can get a 360 degree view of what you're working on (and can turn it to the camera easily). I have one on my potting bench and another on my crafts table, and they make viewing what I work on easier. Now you've got me in the mood to make a terrarium!
@@oceanbreezes1I’m wondering the same?! Figured it out after rewatching twice. RAM - random access memory, computer term. .he put more ram on his computer lol
Nice, Laura ...glad you let the little girl figureine stay...love her flower hat ..Sweet! Can still hear your congestion...God's speed in your healing. It doesn't sound terrible...only concerned for you....🎉❤😊
Glad you added the fairy, and I agree - the little white flower is adorable right near the fairy. Probably won't get this out of my head until I try one. Enjoy!
I rewatched the “I love RAM” part so many times 😂. Thanks for suggesting the mason jar. As a 4H mom, that instantly gave me project ideas! Do you think 2” of soil is sufficient?
@megandoty2162 Someone in the comments repurposed a large Yankee candle glass container to make a terrarium and as you might know they have a glass lid... what a great idea! 😊
So pretty to look at. I’m glad you kept the fairy. She’s so sweet. I’m sure the kids enjoy looking at your masterpiece. Will Benjamin try to use your fairy in his army fights? 😂 … save the fairy from the enemies lol
✨Laura's artsy side strikes again!✨ You have inspired me to make so many fairy gardens and terrarium videos throught the years. Thank you for another sweet project! 💌
The whole ram talk was so random😂 i thought you were referring to the animal and had to rewatch a couple times and just chuckled. So funny. Your videos always make me happy and bring inspiration. Love it😊
The little fairy created the perfect central spot to focus on. I like the shape of the glass. I am really enjoying your winter projects. The snow is falling gently here in Northern Virginia and we are looking at temps in the 20's. Indoor projects are the perfect balm for cabin fever. Thank you for all the inspiration!
Lord we come to you with humble submission asking prayers for our friend pepperonia. We know it has few roots but is a blessing to us all , we ask that you help her grow.amen.
I put that Irish moss in my garden this summer, and I LOVED the little white flowers on it! I didn't know it bloomed, so it was a very sweet surprise! And I love that it is zone 4!
You could put a lid if you wanted to. Just turn one of your gray pot saucers upside down over the opening. That’s beautiful and very timely, I have a 2 gallon pickle jar with a lid I’ve been wanting to turn into a terrarium but could not remember layering. Your tip on the gravel was helpful because I was under the impression it was a necessary element, but the faux layer is beautiful. Thank Miss Laura!
I really enjoyed watching you put this together. It was very peaceful and calming somehow. I've never done one before but every time you put one together I'm always tempted to try. Thanks for always inspiring me 🥰
Hi Laura and Aaron! The terrarium turned out nice. I think it's ok to use a layer of rocks in a terrarium because you use very little water, unlike when watering houseplants. Thank you so much for sharing!
I found a couple of huge bottles with cork lids on FB marketplace, and have had terrariums in there for years now. I don’t open them very often, but when I do I stick my nose in there and take a deep breath; they smell like a forest and are a hit of serotonin to me.
I have been watching some videos on this lately as I thought it would be fun to create one for our home. It was serendipitous that you did this video before I started. I see everyone using the layer of rock, and I would have done so as well. Thank you for sharing the reason why not to. I trust your advise, Laura ;)

What a great idea to use old candle jars! Thank you for sharing! Think I'll give it a try.

So smart! A brilliant way to recycle those pretty jars ❤
Wish I would have thought of that!
I’ve always wanted a terrarium I’m going to try. Thanks

I love when you make terrariums and fairy gardens! It’s one of the reasons I look forward to your winter content. So fun!
You know you’re a plant mom when you tuck them inside your jacket. 🪴 ❤

Absolutely YES, YES, YES to the fairy! She makes it!

I would love to see Samantha’s first look at this. I bet she likes it.
I totally agree 💯 her lil face would lite up❤
I kept thinking over and over how much patience you have to put this together! It turned out lovely ☺️
I can't imagine the terrarium without the fairy and the mini flower next to her!!!

I love to watch you do terrariums and fairy gardens.
12:40 Who would have thought RAMS 💻 and 🧚🏻 Fairy gardens would feature in this video 😂. Love it!
I think maybe I’ve been living under a rock, what is “RAM”
@@oceanbreezes1I’m wondering the same?! Figured it out after rewatching twice. RAM - random access memory, computer term. .he put more ram on his computer lol
I thought he wanted a ram, the animal, in the terrarium instead of a fairy. 😆
@@joannam369 thank you 💐
@@Madeen1982 hahaha I was wondering the same , I was thinking “we’re gonna’ need a bigger terrarium”
The fairy is perfect! I really love how her flower hat mirrors that sweet moss flower.

This turned out so cute! With the gravel and rocks placed where they are, it looks as if the fairy is sitting next to a stream!❤❤
I had a terrarium for years of things I gathered in my woods .Now I need to make another one ! Yours is beautiful ❤️. Thanks for the inspiration!
Your program is the first thing I see in the morning. 😂 UTube and Laura. Then I get a cup of coffee ☕️. Loving the fairy 🧚♂️

I've always wanted to make one just never have, thanks for tutorial! Aaron and the fairy...so funny..
Glad you added the fairy, and I agree - the little white flower is adorable right near the fairy. Probably won't get this out of my head until I try one. Enjoy!
I love that the fairy has a flower hat that mimics the little flower from the moss. So dang cute! Love this.
So pretty. Reminds me of the many terrariums I made in the 70's.

I think so. It looks like Laura put around an inch of soil into hers.
I rewatched that part too!!! The editing around her response was golden! Chefs kiss to the editor. 😘
The terrarium is so pretty, love the fairy you placed. Thank you for the inspiration Laura.❤
Great job Laura! It's so cute but the one thing that I would add is a patch of moss for the fairy to sit on.
I love the terrarium. Super with the fairy in it. Maybe a colorful rock or 2
You make us want to plant a tiny garden in the winter.
That came out so cute, especially with the fairy.
So pretty to look at. I’m glad you kept the fairy. She’s so sweet. I’m sure the kids enjoy looking at your masterpiece. Will Benjamin try to use your fairy in his army fights? 😂 … save the fairy from the enemies lol

Perfect with the Itty bitty flower...and "you under estimate my love of ram." LOL Love your channel.
I had the same reaction when you put the towel under the container and it stopped rocking hahaha. Too cute!!!
The tiny white flower is same size of those in the fairy basket...sweet little garden.
Wow I love watching you make terrariums I love the little fairy girl good job.

Love this and the fairy tops it!
Lo e the "drone shot" of the terrarium!

"Do you like my RAM?" 🤣😂 love Aaron, he's hysterical.
Idea, get costumes for your kiddos and take pictures of them around the pond area and make it look like a fairy garden. Wouldn't that be adorable !!
That project was super cute. Fun to watch.
Back in the late 70s, early 80s. My mother-in-law and I both had large terrariums..
I love seeing how you put them together and I’m hoping you’re putting together another fairy garden, miniature one
We love the fairy 🧚
A blessed evening evryone..
I like the fairy 🧚🏼
Thank you for all the tips on how to do a terrarium. Samantha Grace is going to love the ferry garden.
Surprised at how little soil you need, and how little the rootballs are. It’s lovely
Love the fairy
