Happy Valentine's Day from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada!!!❤ Laura and Aaron Love your channel, I've learned so much, always a great start to my day, Benjamin and Samantha Grace are so adorable, and yes, Russell, Douglas and Cheddar of course! Have a wonderful day, Ciao❤
What an amazing way to save a ton of money. You are awesome. We all learn sooo much from you. I am sooo going to try this. Have a happy Valentine's Day. Say hi to Samantha n Benjamin n Aaron. 💜💜💜
Hi Laura, I can’t believe you are rolling into 2 million subscribers I remember when you were making your way to 500,000 subscribers. Well done Garden Answer. I hope you get to the 2M mark in 2024.
Watching you today, I thought back to when you were planting seeds in the room upstairs in your house! It is amazing how much you two have accomplished since then!
Good morning, Summer time in Australia. Watching Garden Anwers has reinvigorated my love of gardening. I have ventured out into plants for inside our home. I enjoy watching yourself, Aaron, Ben and Samatha as well as the cats. When I'm unable to sleep Garden Answers is the first thing I put on. Thank you for the joy you bring to so many people. Blessings to you all.
Laura, I just love how casual you are about your planting and making projects. I always seem to get kinda anxious about whether I’m doing things correctly. I need to learn from you and be more relaxed and just have more fun. The tiny heart on your nail was so cute. Tells me that you and Samantha have been having fun. ❤
Thanks Laura ❤. Recuperating from knee surgery. One of the first things I want to do is make an Ivy topiary. I❤it. You are always so inspiring. We are all so blessed by your creativity and enthusiasm.
Happy Valentine’s Day Garden Answer family! ❤❤❤ I love that an Erica plant has appeared to bring more beauty and life to the arrangements!! 😅 It makes me, an Erica, feel soo included!!! Love you guys!!! Have a wonderful day!!! 🎉
I can't wait to try this. I've always loved these and now you've showed me how easy this is to do. Thanks so much, Laura. Happy Valentines Day to you and your beautiful family
You are so much fun to watch! You make all stages look so effortless and easy. The topiaries look so easy, something even a novice could do. Thank you for all your patience with your instructions and demonstrations.
For a Girlfriends,Son’s wedding, years ago,I made 14 heart shaped copper stands. I wove green Ivy,around, then added pearl strings through the Ivy. They turned out beautiful,I started them early in the Summer,to keep cost down for them, and the Ivy grew in beautifully over a few months.
Happy Valentines Day everyone. May it be filled with love and an abundance of flowers.❤ Who knew it would be this easy to make a topiary? Going to give it a try.
So appreciate these seed starting videos, no matter how many times you do them. It keeps me on track for my own seeds and is a nice refresher. Love the ivy topiary! What an easy way to step up the look!!!
I did not know there are snapdragons that will bloom in the heat of summer! I have only had plants blooming in spring from local nurseries but then they fizzle out until cool weather again. I wondered how you were growing snapdragons that did well in summer - now I know! Thanks for the clarification
I got up, had breakfast and sat with a cuppa.. started to watch this video and just had to go get outside and clean out a planter and repot plant with new compost… thanks for getting me up and out 😂 😂.. I need the push and watching you just get in there did it for me 🎉
I love watching you start seeds and seeing their progress. Also, if you have any issues you can teach us how to resolve them. Love it! Russell is such a sweet little kitty. Happy Valentine's Day!
Years ago, I took ivy from my cousin's wedding bouquet, rooted it, and then grew it onto a topiary made from a coat hanger. I gave it to her for her 1st anniversary. Thank you for reminding us of a lovely memory! Love your videos and always take away ideas for my home and garden. Thank you!!
Don't stop showing us how, EVERY ( pre) spring, Laura...some of us need someone to "walk along side" to get it done. And some are gardening alone and love company! Thankyou
You inspired me to get my seed planting started this past Sunday (Feb 11). I have tiny leaves in 6 cells of my Geranium Maverick Salmon and Coral and its only Wednesday (14th)! What a wonderful, little Valentines Day gift - to myself! :)🌼🌱 I love natures surprises! Thanks for always giving us a push to get things done! Happy Valentines day to you and your family!
Happy Valentine Day! We love seeing this every season. It helps keep us on track , gives us new ideas and teaches us beginners all the stuff we might not know. Your videos are in no way boring or feel repetitive. Love the ivy topiary! 💜🌷
Laura, I went to the nursery where you had purchased the two ivy topiaries from your previous video in hopes of snagging one. I was taken aback by how much they were. I have done a topiary from a tired ivy from a pot at the end of the summer. (Didn't take me long to drown it once inside!) However,I was so touched by the cord you hit today in showing everyone how easy they are as a DIY project. You are so kind! Happy Valentine's Day!
Making topiary myself? Go figire! Never would have enter my possibilities! Now is does, & that's because of your step-by-teachings! Thank you muchly! 😊
I love gardening, but I am enjoying hibernating inside and being cozy still! I am not ready for spring and yard work yet 😅 this is a reminder that it really is right around the corner…! ❤
Good morning. Last year I made a heart shaped one. Still looking great. It’s starting to wake up from winter and grow again. I’ll just keep wrapping around. Fun.
Laura, 2 questions….#1, how do you know what group (1, 2, 3, or 4) your snaps are? After watching, I went to my seed storage box and read front and back of a few packs of Johnnys snapdragon I ordered last year and nothing denoted the group? #2, could the thrip eggs survive on the vermiculite you “borrowed “ from the dahlia that were possibly affected last year?
Your enthusiasm is contagious. Even if you had shown a video in the past it is a great refresher to see it again. After all it's been at least a year. Just keep doing what you're doing.
Please start seeds of Lobelia. You will be so glad you did. There are beautiful colors of blues/violet, rose, white, lavender. Once they are transplanted out they bloom non-stop until a heavy frost. They maintain that low, front-of-the-boarder that makes you stop to appreciate while walking through the garden. You'll want to do lots of them so plan accordingly when ordering seeds. I order mine from Swallowtail Gardens.
Hello from my homestead in northwest Florida! It is so good to get ideas for making things we can give as gifts but also for those of us who don't have the resources that some people have this is really good inspiration for products we could create and sell at local farm markets.
Snapdragons are my favorite garden flower! I love watching their little heads pop up. Since they have given you problems with the thrips.....and....since you now have a huge extra piece of property, could you move the beautiful offenders over to the new property and plant them there. That would keep them away from the other flowers and the orchard. And the red barn, surrounded by a lovely field of snaps would be so picturesque!
I'm glad to know Ivy can do well in Zone 9. I may pick up two large spiral cypress and use Ivy in between the spirals of the cypress 🤔 and put them in te entry way to my garden. Thanks for the inspiration ❤
Good morning everyone! Happy Valentine's Day ❤❤❤ to you all garden answer friends❣️ Laura, to tell you the truth, I like your topiaries better! I don't think that will ever pay $50 for a topiary like this especially that is so easy to do! I really like the ivy you have, I have to go back and remember the name! Have a blessed day everyone 🙏💜
😻🥰❤️ I love Russell. He reminds me of my kitty. He was 22 yrs old and he crossed the rainbow bridge on 2/12/24 @11:30am. My heart aches. He was like one of my kids. I miss him so much.
DIY topiaries would look great in your window boxes as part of a spring /summer look. Thank you for the lesson. I pray your snap dragons don’t get thrips this year. So pretty!!
❤️Happy Valentines Day GA friends and Laura, Aaron and kiddos ❤️ So many great tips! I actually made my own round form from some sixteen inch orchid flower stem supports after I saw the ivy topiary Laura bought 😀A bit small but I’m going to try the wire coat hanger if I can find some! Also the tip about Delphiniums needing 80 degree temperature to germinate is very timely for me, I just sowed seeds for some short ones and tall ones yesterday and didn’t know they needed it so warm, I need to adjust the heat mat temperature 😀
Thank you so much! I am growing snapdragons for the first time this year and have been researching the 4 different types. I have 3 different graphic tables - I am a scientist - trying to figure out the best way / succession way to start the seeds. I like your approach of letting them bloom when they do in succession themselves instead of trying to force them into blooming at the same time. Sometimes the art of His work / beauty eludes me. Feeling grateful for your channel again. I have learned so much here. Although we are in different areas of the country, I am also in zone 7a however in E TN. Moved here from Ketchikan 3 years ago.
Sooo sweet😂. 😮😮 I actually may be able to do this. I'm definitely going to try, and I'll follow the simple instructions (thank you Laura!) HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY ❤ And as always, thank you for your enthusiasm, and sharing your adventures with all of us. 😊
What an amazing project such simplicity, affordable & yet look every bit as beauitful as the more expensive ones. I look forward to making one. Thank so much for sharing.
Happy Valentine’s Day! I must say watching your videos is a so inspiring and a great motivator for me. I live in FL and have some plants that need to go into the flower gardens. So I better get planting! ❤😊
Have you ever thought of putting a paper coffee filter in the bottom of your pots to keep the soil from washing out the drainage hole? Works like a charm and the pot still drains well!
When I saw that ivy topiary in the other video I thought I bet I could make one of those. Ive been thinking about how i could make it for days and then this video popped up 🤣 Love all the videos, thanks!
Good morning Laura, thank you for sharing this video so interesting on how to make that beautiful ivy topiary I would love to try to make one, so thank you for showing us how to do that. ❤ Happy Valentines Day, and loved that little heart on your thumb nail. So cute. Have a blessed day 😊❤
catching you again today. So helpful to see you do the everyday things. I had no idea there were so many varieties of snap dragons...and so beautiful!!!
Happy Valentine’s Day! I enjoy watching the seed starting videos. They’re full of hope and optimism. Tomorrow is our last frost date so we are switching to warm-season annuals like zinnias and sunflowers. Happy gardening all!
Loved this video! Would love for you to dedicate an entire video to planting the Floret Originals seeds that Erin sent you. I am a huge fan of both of you ❤❤

Doing so well on YT, you don’t need to support TicTok with their multiple privacy collection issues.
Watching you today, I thought back to when you were planting seeds in the room upstairs in your house! It is amazing how much you two have accomplished since then!
I was also thinking how far they’ve progressed from doing the weekly recap videos from the sun room!

I've made several ivy topiaries, but never thought about using a coat hanger for the form. Such a good idea!!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Love the ivy topiary's. They look great. Fun seeing the seed starting begin. Spring is just around the corner.

Thank you for the Valentines gift of teaching us how to make our own topiaries
You are so much fun to watch! You make all stages look so effortless and easy. The topiaries look so easy, something even a novice could do. Thank you for all your patience with your instructions and demonstrations.

What has happened to Harris the bunny topiary? I would like to see Harris again and another topiary project. Thank you for sharing.
So now I have to find an ivy for my pot and a coat hanger and I am in business! Thanks Laura!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
Seems so easy when you've done it, you're such an inspiration to all of us who loves gardening. Hugs and kisses to your fam.❤
Lol I called my local Nursery to try to find the ivy only to find out my state doesn't allow ivy
I saw you added the Mesto sprayer to your shop and I just ordered one! 👏🏼 Thanks for carrying these!
Didn’t see that in the store?
I did not know there are snapdragons that will bloom in the heat of summer! I have only had plants blooming in spring from local nurseries but then they fizzle out until cool weather again. Those Ivy forms are delightful. Would seem like a very doable project for us all…👍👍👍

The window basket with the ivy rings would be awesome to have during the summer Olympics! How cute and festive would that be!?
I love the topiary❤You should hang one of your Valentine ornaments in the middle!❤
Oh Russell! Beautiful job on the topiary and geraniums look awesome! Awesome growth on the rest! Happy Valentine’s Day!
On Saint Valentine's day Laura has a heart on her nail!!! How cute!!!

Just had a thought - if your topiary is a little barren on one side, you could add a large bow or bird to add a bit of asymmetrical whimsy!
Laura, I went to the nursery where you had purchased the two ivy topiaries from your previous video in hopes of snagging one. I was taken aback by how much they were. I have done a topiary from a tired ivy from a pot at the end of the summer. (Didn't take me long to drown it once inside!)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone❤

Of course brilliant cost saving idea…. Highlight was cute little Russell ❤all curled up, happy and cozy xx
Awesome DIY!! I am definitely going to make one or two of these Ivy Topiaries for sure. Thanks for the great inspiration Laura!🌱🌱🌱
Thanks for breaking the mystery of topiaries. Buying the sprawling older plants puts you one step closer to a full circle! They look so elegant!

Laura,I hit on your videos and I just smile ! I love your enthusiasm on everything you approach!❤️
I’ve been curious how your African violet starts are doing that you propagated awhile back?
You should make a window display for the Paris Olympics using your topiaries as the rings!

Thanks for this great DIY! As you where creating the circle I thought about the wire wreath form at the $1.23 DOLLAR TREE. Such an video!
It almost feels like you should sing them (seeds) a la la bye as they are put to bed. ❤😊
Your topiary was prettier than the $50. Cant wait to make a feww myself. Thanks for the idea
Happy Valentine’s Day! I must say watching your videos is a so inspiring and a great motivator for me. I live in FL and have some plants that need to go into the flower gardens. So I better get planting! ❤😊
Your video this morning inspired me to make my English ivy into a topiary and it turned out great! Thank you! I wish I could send you a picture. ❤❤
Those snapdragons look gorgeous!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
