Why can't these woke developers just let the protagonist be an accurate depiction of a normal looking women like Megan Fox.

You can do it in any Fable game. Would be surprising if this one were an exception.
@@freddyvorace9990 you can and can't. In Fable you have either a singular protagonist. Or a choice between male and female. What you can do is do some customization like change their hairstyles, makeup, tattoos. But the heroes are set and they morph according to your choices in the game. So it's definitely 100% not a character creator game but a light customization game with the added bonus of the game doing fun things with your decisions.
@@khs511 Yeah, you had customization but not creation. Hopefully you can still pick between male and female but honestly given how detailed the facial animations are that looks pretty mocapped and I'm not sure if this one will have that option.
@@landfillao4193 yes I get the same feeling. However I do hope they are showcasing one for marketing consistency. Only because it would be fun to play two separate saves with different genders with different choices.

It's true that there was not dynamic gameplay like combat or dialogue choices featured here, but at Digital Foundry they generally focus on graphical performance, so there is actually a fair amount that they can glean even from a short clip of the character walking through different environments. If this were any other RUclips channel I might agree with you.

I never played Fable back in the day because I'm on the otherside but I remember Fable is one the games I wish it's available on PS2 for looking great and looks fun as hell.

Game looks 🔥🔥🔥. With GTA6 this is definitley my most anticipated game now.
It does except for that ugly trans main character, modelled after the real guy who worked in the company.
I loved the original Fable, despite all the empty promises from Lionhead at the time. It was a decent little RPG but I doubt it holds up these days. I barely remember 2 and 3 even though I know I played them both. I'm looking forward to this, but I really hope there's a character creator because that lady is hard to look at :D
That’s the joke, they are parodying fantasy protagonists who always looks like models even though it really wouldn’t be the case.
Luckily there is which is why I'm now interested in this game. Also I'll be getting it on PC and there will be mods. This is what kept me from playing Horizon. Aloy was an annoying tomboy. The MC can either make or break a game

If it's a parody, then they would use someone who looks like a model and just point it out in the game. The fact that they hired a model who looks beautiful then made the in-game character she portrays not beautiful is just another example of Microsoft bowing to DEI.

No way is this game hitting 60fps on console.
Which is why you should get it on PC. Also PC will support mods. I dont see why it can't hit 60 fps on the X with the proper graphical adjustments. It doesnt look that technically impressive tbh

What is the purpose of the DF Clips channel? I subscribed when it started because I thought it would have interesting bite-sized videos about whatever piqued the interest of individual team members but was not worth a longer video for the main channel. However, as far as I can tell, the content comes only from segments of the longer DF Direct Weekly videos. That's fine, but if that's all DF Clips is, and I watch DF Direct Weekly, is there any reason for me to be subscribed to DF Clips? Does it have anything for the DF Direct Weekly viewer that the DF Direct Weekly viewer has not already enjoyed?
It's just short highlights from their long form content. If you already watch that in its entirety, DF clips may be a bit redundant.
No. In the very first video Rich said it was clips of the podcasts and other videos mostly.

Personally, I am not feeling the humour it is going for at all. The graphics look nice, but there isn't anything shared on story, the world or the gameplay that seems interesting to me.
What’s with the art direction in so many modern games?
They make the characters look so androgynous. It’s unrealistic.
I’m not saying everyone has to be a supermodel, as I’m not saying it’s about beauty, but the ambiguity of these modern character designs is jarring.
It's so that trans people feel more comfortable. Without a huge difference between males and females it makes them feel better. Naughty dog internal messages got leaked and that was their rationale in tlou2

Play Fable 2 and you can tell the females look androgynous. You wont get Samus Aran or Ayane from DoA in Fable.

Game doesn't look worth playing. Once it inevitably launches we'll know for sure but wtf is up with that protagonist? Thought you where supposed to want to play as the titular character... not so much in this case.
It'd be good to be able to customize the main character. Representation is important.
One of the most important things in Fable is to let players be whatever they want so we should be able to make her a villain, a drag, a bandit, a hero or just a Chicken Chaser.

I dont get the hate for the main Character. Fable is based on British humour. We dont find attractive funny. Fable has never had 'attractive' women in it.

No, just that the character is purposely ugly. There's a lot of middle ground between this monstrosity and eve. They're uglifying things, just to mess with people at this point. It's a trend that is seen in just about everything, not just vidya and is the result of moral and cultural decay. Plus, It gets rage clicks/engagement.
What I don't understand is why it always has to be an extreme? Either extremely hyper sexualized unrealistic beauty or extremely ugly on purpose. To me it seems that there are only two movements people want you to agree on, either extreme bigoted blind right or unquestionable, no room for reason and critical thinking left.
She doesn't need to look like Eve, Eve is a hentai sex doll, but they don't need to look like an androgynous fuck!

If you can't choose between male or female, now you can play as TWO in ONE.
Calling it now; the character begins to look 'better' in a more hollywood style of 'better looking' when they do bad things and looks worse (they they do in the trailers) when they do good. This is a reverse of the character looking evil when bad and looking good when good and is a modern political approach to say not all people who look healthy are nice people.

@@gothpunkboy89 its different in games because you spend way more time playing as the MC so the challenge with predef chars is really a roll of the dice you don't know what your gonna get and you hope to get a decent char that you can somehow vibe with on some level. When you take control of the MC you "become" that char. In movies and shows you look at it from a 4th person perspective. Im not saying the MC has to look attractive but godamn at least make her look like an average female. Is that too much to ask?
