I was thinking a Random Hero who might knew him write it because he Hated he say that all the time😂
I will have to read the books of Fable 2 Again(It was not there)
looks like that comment Appears in the Loading Screen Quotes
"Shortly After Jack of Blades was Felled by the hero. It was Rumored that the Guild Master was also killed by the very same Hero & and was found with the words 'Your Health is Low' carved onto his forehead"
Still the game has some stuff that does not make sense, It says that he wielded Sword of Aeons and defeated Jack of Blades twice, But Teresa still alive😊 I guess my explanation would be that it was just that a lot of time passed and people of albion changes stories(Or they Make a Glitch in a Game part of the Lore were he could get the sword and later restart the fight and you could fight Jack with the sword and save Teresa)

Most rpg games now a days aren't even rpgs. They're just shooters with a leveling system and maybe a character creation. But besides that there is very little "role playing" in any of them. Like you said every rpg game should have the option for having a family, buying properties or just working normal jobs is also nice.

@@Yungplague539 Jrpgs are pretty different from western rpgs, most of them are just collecting companions and going to fight god or whatever. I don't know why you care so much, if you like rpgs that aren't really rpgs that's fine. All I'm saying is I wish more rpgs had the stuff Fable had, most of them are just open world clones with side missions and skill points, but they lack actual role playing stuff. The statless armor pieces in the second game were actually a feature that Peter Molyneux proudly spoke about. He wanted the player to focus on what they wanted their own Hero to look like, rather than wearing pieces only for the stats.
Personally, I think this was a much better idea. I don't like it when games force me to wear a piece of armor that I don't like the look of.

World of Warcraft has a great system called transmogrification where if you like how one piece of armor looks but another has the stats you need, you can pay a small fee to cosmetically alter the better stat piece to look like the other, or Vice versa if you’d want to do that for some reason. I think all games with a gear system should have this feature

Congratulations on almost making on 100k viewers...I know fully well about "age" in game...I am 38(gonna turn 39 in September) and I have the tendency to always create myself on RPG games so yeah imagine an adventurer "starting" out level 1 with 38 lmao 😂....also you are ageing well soon you will reach zangief level( i exercise at home but don't have any gym equipment so I rely on improvising).
I always thought about getting an xbox series x to play older 360 games...one of the reasons is the fable series...I love western RPGs and the full series is there....but don't have enough money for an xbox series X for the exclusives or a gamer pc to play the RPG classics(only got a ps5 for now).
I truly hope you reach 100k...you remind me of myself when I was an PC player(that's why I subscribed) you go for the truly obscure RPGs and I used to do that myself...even already played some of the game you listed.... unfortunately I have been battling with depression from some years and my love for playing obscure games faded away...I am having difficulty immersing myself even on recent RPGs and scarcely playing them... ironically its the genre I love the most(or used to).
I watch your videos because you remind me what I used to be and maybe I can overcome this disease someday and light up the obscure RPG love I had one day(and maybe have the money for an xbox series X and another gamer PC for the exclusives on GOG).

I love all Fable games, all for different reasons :)
I played the first game on the original XboX (goddamn, I'm that old...) and I always get nostalgic when I see videos about the game. Every now and then I start it up again myself, just to be enchanted by the world again.
I bought an XboX Series S back then, simply because it was the only "next-gen" console that was available here in Germany at the time.
That was when I was able to play Fable 2 for the first time and I immediately fell in love :D
The visit to Oakvale that you mentioned really shocked me. Seeing this pretty town as nothing but ruins really broke my heart.
The hub system in Fable 3 reminded me a bit of Terranigma on the SNES, where you also had to unnecessarily maneuver through the individual rooms to equip a new weapon or see your level progress. Annoying, but I found the treasure room pretty funny. If only because they had hidden one of the golden keys there, which you could only get to by increasing your wealth to the maximum once.
I also thought the rental system and the rental income was cool, simply because it actually made some sense in the end by financing the war.
I found the story entertaining, even if not outstanding.
But I found the characters incredibly funny. Just my kind of "straight to your face" humor.

Fable II is the best i nthe series, i remember when i played it for first time i spent like 60+hours in Bowerstone market doing Blacksmith and literallz bought the whole town. Fable 1 and 2 will always hold a place in my nostalgic heart. Fable 3 was just the IP wrapped around a proof of concept for integrating monetization and a store into a game, even down to the micromanaged pacing of consumables. As for the new Fable, without Russel Shaw's music, the core Molyneaux-protected mechanics and a specific brand of writing/humor that made Fable what it was I'm thinking it will be Fable in name only. Studios are leaning hard into AI tools for coding, narrative, art assets, and animation trained on previous IP + heavy use of presets/templates leaning toward mobile-tier stuff so the quality will likely be low and the gameplay lacking complexity due to dumbed down code - just as other recent noteable flop games that used that method.

About the XP in the second game, it works pretty much exactly the same way as it did in the first, it's just that now you pick up all xp from the ground, instead of just the general one.
(Also that multiplier wasn't for damage, but XP back in the first game)
And Lucian it the most infamous, since you even don't kill him yourself (sometimes).
As for difficulty: original release also had a fixed (trivial) difficulty.
F3 had exactly 2 neat ideas: mixing spells and evolving weapons. Both kinda wasted.
And the aura+wings thing you get at the end looks nice... That's about it.
(And don't get me started on buying legendary weapons at the store)

Played the first 2 Fable games when they released and i loved them. I didn't care for the setup for the third one and skipped it. I wish that there were more games like Fable 2 but I'm not hopeful.

I love fable 1 first game I did a no hit run. I probably beat the game dozens of times in every way I could imagine. I always wished they made a prequel using the in game books as source material.

Fable 2 is up there with one of the best games ever made for me, property development, marriage, the story, the effects using certain skills had on appearance as well as how you acted in the world ie. Growing actual horns for evil acts. Plus even just the beautiful style of the world, you just don’t get games like it anymore which is sad

I’ve only played the first, the third which is my favorite, and now anniversary PC. Which, like you I don’t remember the original that well, so I can’t really compare that. I like three because it appealed to my liking to financial tycoon games. They all seemed really easy to me, ironically I found the most difficulty in combat being the hand to hand, and since that gave me the most challenge, I put all my points into magic so I could quickly end all of the annoying disruptions from bandits and the like and really spend some time fighting bosses hand to hand for the most part. I didn’t think the story was good in any of them honestly and that’s why I never played two because someone explained the story and I thought it sounded dumb. But, having not played two, I just thought fable was an extremely linear game. Almost like that was the point. You can do whatever you want, but you’ll never get lost. The fun thing about it though is that in one play through, you can go from being all good to all bad and back to being all good with ease. I’ve never played any other game that would let you do that.

I have two reasons for the third game: 1) the color palette 2) Fire + Lightning area combo spell makes combat too easy.

For me the issue of Fable 3 is RNG taking over everything.
Chests no longer have set treasure, its all random.
You no longer have a dialogue wheel, just 3 options thats random.
The children you have is random where your child can be a completely different race from both parents while the kids in Fable 2 was matched to their parents even being goth zombie like when marying lady gray.
The counter kills and sub targeting being removed and replaced with RNG finishers you cant controll.
And the road to rule is just restrictive, you cant level just playing the game and not progressing the story and it curtails the optiona you have and choices you make like locking the blade spell to the end game with no way of getting it unlike Fable 2 where you can choose.

@@FallenPhoenix-ml5mnagree with all of that, the thing that really hurts 3 is the metaphorical and literal handholding everything is compressed down to a single unit of value, the seals, and you get gated. It is unnecessarily childish and treats you like a child.

Personally, I would like the Fable 2 style gameplay/exploration with the real villain from Fable 3 (a multi-stage boss fight, as long as its not the cheap "he's a giant, hit the hands then his face" kind) in HD.
I actually played the series backwards. I randomly bought a $5 game called Fable 3, because it was cheap, I thought I'd try it. It was so much fun, I then found the 2nd game and eventually the 1st. Honestly that is probably the best way to play the series, since the 3rd has more limitations then the others, but the Crawler was definetly the best part. Fable 2 has best gameplay and freedom, but I agree the final boss was disappointing. Fable 1 Im not sure if I finished.
Best part was finding out you could buy property and gain money over time with RENT! 3rd game that gets to be very important at the end, 2nd game you could cheat it because it paid you every ten min even if you werent playing and this was for the Xbox 360 back in 2014-15

Fable 2 writing and humor was peak. If we could get an anniversary game where they just add 3’s co-op to 2 that would be perfect.
I’m also so skeptical that the new fable will be able to live up to the humor and writing of 2

i personally enjoy all 3 games...yeah each have thier pros and cons fable 2 was by far the best in terms of map design i enjoyed fable 3s story and the inventory system is a bit clunky and seemingly pointless but i enjoyed it and when you look into how the 3 stories link together its just a masterpiece of a trilogy that whole spiel out of the way you did a good job with this video im looking forward to watching more videos

Try Dread Delusion, currently its in early acces on steam. Its an indie RPG fantasy game with retro style. You dont have a map, you have to chart it yourself, there is no mission markers so its challenging with orienting... I found it similair in some ways to gothic/morrowind so im reccomending it to you to try and review.

Dead wrong about treating the combat multiplier in Fable as a fun mini game. It dramatically increases experience gain as it rises. Its one of the most crucial mechanics in the game. *Great video though*
