No no madam not all, my father left this world with one wife and they spent 50yrs together with no child outside their marriage, the problem is we listen too much to the devil than God.
Everyone is no father. Even the husband you marry will not be like your father- this is the problem with assuming people should all be painted with one stroke of brush. Let those who want it without demonizing it. Its really a simple matter. Problem is learning thing from societies that do not look like yours and trying to copy them. Educate women and let them make their choices without demonizing anything they choose. Polygamy is not a problem, poverty and childish jealousy is.
Strong, committed relationships are definitely out there. Maybe it's about finding the right person and putting in the work. What are your thoughts on that?
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. We're happy to hear you found the conversation insightful. We appreciate your support and look forward to bringing you more valuable content.
9:10 Jagero "my granfa had a lot of cattles......" i.e he was rich, now you with your 2 trousers and a useless salary u want another wife/wives heh spare us the drama, get rich first and am telling u even in this era we have rich men like the the young Senegal president who has 2 wives n they are both happy u know why; these women will be busy running big projects, big businesses no time for drama, no time to hate coz why fight if u have everything in the house (u r contented) now your man has his "jasho" n his 2 singilend (undershirts) na hyo boxer chafu, nakuvumilia nafanya kazi kwa bidii tufanikiwe halafu ukaoe mke mwingine aje kizembe kula matunda yangu lazima kuwe na fujo......mnxxiiuuu am done.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's definitely true that financial security is important in a relationship. There are many cultural perspectives on this practice. Some couples choose polygamy for various reasons, and it can work for them if everyone involved is happy and consenting. In our podcast, we understand everyone has different experiences and viewpoints. Would love to hear more about your perspective on what makes a relationship successful. #polygamy #relationships #marriage
The lady is right when she said an African man is a polygamous man. They have these many children, many wives, then sink the country in deep poverty, then wishing that one of these many children that hasn't been cared for will one day have millions to care for a father and a mother who has created the poverty in the first place. A good man level an inheritance for their children's children. Very sad!
Thanks for your comment. It's important to challenge stereotypes. Polygamy is not practiced widely across Africa, and attributing poverty solely to family structure is too simplistic. Many factors contribute to poverty, and there are strong, responsible families throughout Africa. I would love to learn more about your perspective.
Polygamy is never a problem. Poverty and jealousy is. Deal with those two. Educate and empower women- let them be in monogamous or polygamous relationships as human beings and no pests. The latter is what is breeding jealousy even in monogamous relationships.
This discussion is so deep. As a society, we are in constant struggle because we do not want to allow nature takes it course. Otherwise, things would have been smoother.
I agree.. our cultures including Christianity has been broken and changed to fit a certain narrative. Unfortunately the narrative has been embraced and has not worked and not working. Divorce has become the order of the day almost 60%. It's important to go back to the roots and rethink how we face life.. Good discussion
I hear you about the importance of strong communities and traditions. It's definitely a complex topic. Would love to hear more about what you mean by "going back to the roots." What aspects of Christianity do you think are most important to focus on?
Haha! Glad this video could brighten your office day! Maybe you can show it to your colleagues and see if they relate to the "woman realizing she's the man" moment too!
You can’t solve one problem by creating another one. Polygamy is motivated by lust and lust can NEVER be satisfied. If we assume that Polygamy is allowed, how many wives are enough? Shouldn't women also be allowed to have multiple husbands also? The whole idea doesn't make sense
There's often more to polygamy in cultures where it's practiced. It can be about family, community, and economic stability. If polygamy were ever widely accepted, the "how many wives" question is a fascinating one. There's no one answer, and it would likely depend on cultural norms and individual circumstances. And yes, the concept of polyandry (multiple husbands) definitely comes up in discussions about polygamy. It's interesting to think about equality in those situations.
Why are they so many divorces now as compared to many years ago. Ofcoz most people you will say nowadays women are empowered but the truth and reality of life is in Africa polygamy will save a lot of marriages if it's taken into practice just like old times . After all Most women who divorce their men end up dating married men out there so what's the point of divorcing your own man to date another married men after divorce? What's the point of divorcing your own men to become a side chick of another married men?
People have more freedom to choose their partners now, but that also means they might choose to leave an unhappy marriage. As for polygamy, it's definitely an interesting idea, but it's not for everyone. It can work well in some cultures, but it also comes with its own set of challenges. On the point about women dating married men after divorce, that's a whole other conversation! There are many reasons why someone might get divorced, and not all women who get divorced end up with married men.
This is interesting, God's ideal family setup has been set aside. If we believe we are God's creation, let's follow his instructions, one wife. Read the story of Jacob, he married sisters but there was no peace amongst them.

She's talking about the large society Christianity destroyed African way of life.

Someone broke this girls heart
Broke her so bad.
This part always gets me But hey, breakups happen. Here's to hoping she finds someone who cherishes her the way she deserves.
A preacher who believes in Monogamous and Polygamous.
It's interesting to hear about your views on marriage. Can you elaborate on what makes both monogamy and polygamy valid options in your perspective?
Polygamy is a costly
so poverty is the problem not polygamy.
You're absolutely right. Polygamy can be very expensive. It takes a lot of resources to support multiple households.
costly and deadly

Pick me women are dangerous.
