I was a kid during the Cuban missle crisis, which gave me a type of fear at the time that I can't easily describe. That feeling is coming back, and it's very unpleasant.

That describes about all democrats, who never look at the repercussions of their pie in the sky ideals which are anything but ideal. And you don't vote for people who are willing to sacrifice other peoples' lives and livelihoods for their own agenda.

Yeah 700 bucks each for the people who lost their homes. Billions to isreal and Ukraine around the same time.
And wildfires on the west coast with mysterious origins, yet they blame it on "climate change". In fact I can't think of a single weather event that isn't blamed on climate change by the left. Yes we must have cleaned air and water and a ban on complete clearing of old growth forests (they must be managed with strategic cuts though) and somehow get poor countries to stop using our oceans as dumping grounds, but those things can be done without crippling economies with expensive pie in the sky projects that help very little if at all. We are already headed in the right direction by reducing industrial emissions, car companies are getting really good at reducing tailpipe emissions, and wind, solar and thermal are good clean supplements..but that's my point, they are SUPPLEMENTAL..not replacements. Any attempt to make them our only source of energy is a fools errand. The simple fact of the matter is Oil, gas, nuclear and in some cases coal will continue to be needed well into the future if we want this country to maintain a modern technological society. Anyone who doesn't acknowledge this is only kidding themselves, and people in power who refuse to acknowledge this are a danger to us all.
I really wish Trump would abandon this "drill baby drill!" nonsense and instead take a practical approach. We will extract what we need for ourselves and enough for allies who would otherwise become dependent on hostile countries for energy, but we will also continue the course of reducing industrial emissions, make transportation more efficient and cleaner (hybrids that include an ICE engine are fantastic best of both worlds options, something California doesn't want to acknowledge) as well as make our dwellings more efficient and reduce the amount of energy needed to heat or cool ourselves. Or in other words...what we are already doing.

I worked in a radiobiology lab at a prominent medical school in the mid-80s. We tested how dogs survived, ie died, from plutonium exposure cuz dogs model well as a human. Most of the USA has been blanketed by fallout repeatedly. There were about 92 above ground test blasts in our country. The murderous damage was and still is concealed these many decades. The USA did that to our own country and fellow citizen. They knew what they were doing. There is no doubt in my mind the USA would not hesitate using nukes even if it threaten its own citizens.

I have never seen our country in the disastrous condition it's in right now. We have a shell of a human being pretending to be POTUS, open borders, an economy in shambles, unaffordable grocery prices, a large slice of the working population living from paycheck to paycheck with virtually no savings, very high crime, a weaponized justice system, a skyrocketing homeless population, high death toll from drug overdoses, high inflation and more. I have seen you in debates on tv, heard you on different radio stations, and in various interviews. I really respect you. If you ever run for another political position, you have my vote.
