He normally goes to bed early and gets up early to work for us. He's having to stand out there on stage with some jerk yelling lies in his ear, while he has a sore throat and can barely speak. At least he answered the questions honestly. It was 90 minutes of a bad moment. Compare that to his record of accomplishments over the last 3 1/2 years. Also, he has a vice president who backs him, and who has also been out actively campaigning. Trump doesn't even have Melania backing him out there. Your lost vote is a vote for Trump, and a loss for our democracy.
Please don't do that. Vote AGAINST Trump or you may end up with a whole new America that there's no going back from.

I am a European person leaning towards the center-left and I follow American politics carefully. I am very saddened by what has happened, it is like a veil of propaganda has been torn away. We progressives everywhere have been led to believe that Biden is more capable than he actually is. I sincerely believe that many journalists have also fallen into this trap, in good faith. But now reality has hit and there is no amount of rallies where Biden shows himself lucid and combative that can erase what we saw at the debate. This is how dementia works: one moment you are lucid, one moment you are not. The difference between progressives and Trumpists is that we still have a critical sense and do not worship our leader as a messiah. Therefore, for the good of democracy, Biden must withdraw, also out of respect for those who will be harshly penalized and destroyed by Trump's policies.

Reviewing it again I find Joe Biden aware and clear on his positions. I feel badly of my initial reactions and comments about President Joe Biden. So many facets to the job and so many efforts delivered in the right directions. It is a very stressful job just to keep up with all the different decisions to make daily and Joe clearly is aware of the issues and fighting for the America we all love.
Because you lose a debate don’t mean you can’t be president. Look at how Obama did and he won. Thats debate didn’t change my mind.

It's possible for old people to just have a very bad day. Frankly, if Biden's staff really wanted to "gaslight" us, they would not have asked for this debate.
Now, even if Biden is usually shrewd and astute and only happened to have a bad day, some people might still be worried, thinking that it makes him unstable.
Some people (like me) might think it's ok as long as the candidate has been showing extremely stable acheivements over his presidency like Biden has.
That's for people to decide.
But either way, it's a completely different story from claiming that Biden must be always speaking unclearly behind the scenes, or that his staff is maliciously trying to trick people.
It's as if Brendan wants to bring Biden down to the level of Trump, to make people think that Biden's team is involved in gaslighting just like Trump.
It's like he is trying to create a situation where both sides look the same, and everything is a grey fog where you can't tell what is true.
If anything, Brendan is the one trying to gaslight people.
