今回はPG UNLEASHED RX-78-2 ガンダムを全塗装してみました。
このキットは個人的に若干ディテール過多な印象を受けました。なのでスジボリなどほとんど追加していないです。シールドなど、一部既存のディテールを消して変更している部分があります。ディテール系は正直キリがないっす。
最近MGEXのエンディングのライティングやカメラワークがプロパン？という人に丸々コピーされているとご指摘を何度か頂いたので、被らないように違うものを考案してみました。それを発見できていないのですが、おそらく被りを解消できているのではないでしょうか。
目の点滅のシーケンスの撮影は大分前に思い付いたのですが、実際にやってみると過去最高レベルに難易度が高かったです。誇張抜きで400回ほど撮り直しました💧でも思いついた人がやらないと、アイディアって一生世に出ないですよね。だから後戻りできないんですよ。

No excuse, I delayed A LOT. I am so sorry for the long silence.
I initially tried to abolish the phase edit, an iconic full build video composition on this channel. Then this footage become 28 min long, so I shrank it down to about 12 min. That led to a complete structure change, and I brought back the phase edit eventually. Due to this structure change, honestly, the overall transitions between phases are weak because I did not intend to shoot the footage to edit in this way.
Most footage in this video was shoot before Gundam Artifact. I changed shooting method and treated the footage like I used to do it. However, it was the completely wrong way. You might find errors in the dark region. The footage was unsalvageable. I already know how the footage was supposed to be shoot now. You will find improvement from the following video.
In addition, I will edit sound in a different way which I introduced in the onion ring video. I altered the sound for the onion ring footage in this video to match with the rest of the clip. So you will find a sound quality change with the audio from the next video either.

The onion rings build is so underrated, thats cooking chef level

As an avid cook with hack like model building ability, those onion rings were overcooked, and burnt because that was clean oil, so it should have turned golden, not dark brown. Respectfully, the dude's builds are a lot better.

Hi, I love your color combination! Do you repaint those white armors to be light grey color? And how many cans of topcoat matte is needed for this PG?
Yes, the lacquer and plastic colors have slight color shifts so I have to repaint. You’ll see why if you look at pro people works. I thought it took me about 3-4 cans of topcoat.

It's always so satifying watching a master artisan work on his craft. You're extremely good to say the very least. It might've taken you 150 hours to complete this RX-78-2 model but I can't even imagine the time it took to sharpen your skills to such a high caliber. Very inspiring!

Worst PG are the super old ones like wing zero. The lights required to strip wires. That was nightmarish

After practicing on many other Gunda. And RX-78-3 decals. Riding that creative wave.... hoping I can catch the same energy!

The RX-78-2 PG Unleashed is the accumulation of decades worth of passion and enthusiasm from both Bandai and the community; it truly deserves a build like this. Absolutely stellar work Potan! Thank you for documenting and sharing this.
RX-78's design always amazed me. The design was simple compare to the newer gundam, but it always looks gallant and robust.

I used to want to do a perfect grade build, but I'd honestly just rather watch you do them lol. So much care and skill goes into your builds.
As a long time builder my self I never got into the full decals and painting. But this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!
Where is the painting? Its flat filling with stamps. 15-20h should be enough.

And i really wanted to build my first gunpla but it's the financial issue that's stopping me from buying one cheap HG ganpla. Even the HG kits are expensive to buy online in my country in India. 😞

@@ShinigamiArts69 lighting is something you figure out with trial and error because your setting, lights, windows etc. is unique to you and light physics will behave differently from someone else.
I don't know why RUclips recommended this to me, I'm not even into this hobby at all, but wow, I loved the video. Really appreciate the compositing in the shots, great edition at the end! Definitely subscribing now.
Weird isn't it? I have no interest in any of this stuff. Don't even know what a gundam is, apart from being a big robot. But the way it's edited, the care that's taken, makes it quite satisfying to watch.
Watching anyone do anything _really well_ is always satisfying I think.

i like the blue that you used for the parts, what colors did you use to mix that blue and the ratio?
I’m sorry I do not remember at all. The color you see in the video is little bit different from what I see physically. If you want to make the look just like the video, you might need to mix Nazca ミリオンブルー, in addition to the blue I used in this video. You need fine tweaking and experiment.
I use Light Ultramarine instead of Million Blue
I'm neither American nor Japanese but I'm impressed that you build these robots from small pieces and have determination to finish it you deserve more subscribers and likes for their dedication

I don't mind seeing like a full documentation of this build. Even with all of the full cut outs. It's nice to play in the background while driving/working... Gives you that workshop at the background vibes and sounds. Makes me feel less lonely.

The first one was more fun to build, as well as the PG MKii, Z was great too because of the lighting system, this PG had too much big pieces it made it felt simpler

調合の割合は、正直あまり覚えてないのですが、自分の中で理想的な色にはなりませんでした。
Nazcaのコバルトバイオレットと、クレオスのコバルトブルーのみで、7：３くらいだと映像に近い色になるのではないかと思ってます。スーパースムースクリアを吹いた後と前で、また色味が変わったりするので、スプーンなどに試し吹きしてスムースクリア吹くところまでやって色を確認する必要があるかと思いますね。いまなら僕はNazcaのコバルトバイオレットを直で吹いてしまうかと思います。

Hey, just a quick question; I’ve read online that Mr. Super Clear topcoat (gray can) can damage waterslide decals, but I notice you used Mr. Super Smooth Clear (blue can), is there a difference between them and did some of your decal get damaged?
The top coat can melt decals, but at the same time, we want to topcoat after decals to compensate for the height gaps between the surface and the decal. So there is a little dilemma. In my case, I layered a thin layer of coat dryied, and repeated the process for few times.
So, if I apply thin layers of topcoat none of my decal will be damaged?
