What I like most about this is that there is no Airbrushing. It's nice to see a really professional model painted to a high quality without a £150+ pricetag on it to paint it to the best standard. Awesome stuff! Ave Dominus Nox!
@@Dustbinlid1 Honestly.. the tools don't make the artist. Creativity, experience and a lot of practice does. There is nothing wrong with using airbrushing in my eyes. It's not like any beginner can buy an airbrush and end up with great looking models.

Just discovered your page on Instagram, your video tutorials are great and I want to thank you for taking the time to explain all your steps and make a long video.
I have no clue about these figures but this is so relaxing to watch someone do art like this. Feels a bit like a dark Bob Ross like other comments mentioned. I love it.
I must’ve used this video to fall asleep dozens of times now…. The ambient music, soft/relaxed commentary and visual artistry is the perfect combination… I hate how ASMR videos always have the CREEPY whispering, which i cant stand…give me mezgike vids anyday. So calming. Thanks for the gift of sleep mate
I’m about to record the voice over for the next video, first one in a few months. I’ll keep this in mind, I’ll channel that relaxing mezgike sleep making material. Legendary mate, enjoy your snooze.
You literally don’t need to change a thing. Definitely my favorite miniature artist to watch. :) if I had any suggestions at all, I would love to see some models with some brighter colors. Just to better understand how to highlight and emphasize when everything is already so bright. But that’s just me, a miniature novice. just keep doing your thing!
Thanks, well done. Your description of what your doing and showing the stages in sequence as you do is a HUGE help to improving my skills. Alot of artist keep things in their pockets but you go the high road and share those tips with everyone. You are a master and a professional and I have mad respect.
I’ve not picked up a paint brush in 3 decades, I’ve been considering citadel miniatures for sometime and in the coming weeks will be buying my first batch to paint. In the mean time I’ve been feasting in a variety of youtube videos, picking up hints and tips. This is what I loved about this video. I clicked on it, not realising it was 3 hours, but within 15 minutes you were well into the process. Loved it. Thanks for showing the wet palette method, I’d heard people mention it, but didn’t have a clue what it was. Can’t wait to get stuck in. ( going with the basic ultramarines pack, for easing into the process).
This guy is a grim dark Bob Ross. "Now let's imagine this Blood Angel is still alive trapped under the ice suffering unimaginable torment, lovely stuff." Epic tutorial too.
I swear, pound for pound this has got to be one of the best tutorials on RUclips. I don't know if my favorite part is the dirty copper for the helmet wings, the armor base blue or the pigment-based glow effects. I know I'm entirely blown away by the freehand on the shoulderpad that's for dang sure. I for one would love to see your take on the Alpha Legion.
Cheers brooks! Always think outside the box. Nightlords have red wings but that doesn’t mean you can’t make the red more interesting, by for example, using a red copper. Try to interpret ‘the norm’ in your own unique way and your minis will stand out.
Thank you for using a black back drop in the background. I like to watch these videos at night and alot of people use blinding white backdrops which at night is hard on the eye imo. My eye's thank you sir!
I absolutely love the format of your videos. The chapters are great for reference and showing the paint per step is extremely helpful. I hope that continue to make these great and informative videos
Such an amazing video. Countless people are gonna be so pleased to see how you did the base. Thanks for sharing!!! One suggestion for a video this long, in the description maybe offer links to the timestamps where you work on the next part/section?
This is henceforth my favorite model. Not to knock the paint job, it's fantastic, but that icy base man. That's gotta be the best thing I have ever seen.
So much inspiration! I’m looking forward to seeing more, and if anything... what it would look like (down the road) when all the different character pieces get pitted together. Even with them just side by side displayed in all their glory!
I am so thankful to you, for uploading this video full of immense knowledge for painters, that want to up their game. Love it, please get back to us with more content!
Сергей Алексеев I’m so thankful to people like you who appreciate my work. That’s why I do it. My new content has been a long time coming due to some personal issues, but there will be new stuff live in a few days! It’s almost ready :) thanks for your support, keep watching!
When working with resins you can spray a little bit of mold release to lower the surface tension of the resin. That way the bubbles will/should pop. And! Great painting tutorials! Thank you!
Unless there's a structural reason to not have any at all (not a resin expert), there's really no need to be 100% bubble free as long as their not huge. Natural ice will have bubbles in it especially if it froze over an object like a space marine imo.
Thanks so much! Well I started making a graveyard type base for him but I wasn’t feeling it. So I thought “what is a simple but striking base idea?”. I thought that a snowy base might be a good contrast to the dark armour, then I just thought about incorporating a battlefield scenario in a cold environment. I suppose when you fight in the snow, enemies fall and become frozen in ice. Then I realised that this is a cool idea, and it seemed a pretty straight forward process; hollow out a base, round it and paint it black so it looks endless, chop a marine in half with his hand poking out, paint him, full with resin and make it look cold. Easy :)
If I had to give an award to the best paint tutorial ever... I'd choose this very one. There is information in here to keep making my hobbie take steps forward for years!
That base is fucking class, the whole frozen marine idea really grounds the model and builds a scenario for it, I mean i get people who just build and paint according to codex references, its still rewarding and the designs are timeless for a reason, but when people really get inventive with this hobby is where the hobby as a whole shines. haven't touched war-hammer minis since around '04, school and college kinda took point for a decade or so y'know, totally forgot how creative you could get with this, time to break into my savings me thinks
