Hey Joe this is great! We booked the Rembrandt without knowing the area very well and this video gives a fantastic view of Soi 18. We are really looking forward to our stay there next week and if you have an expats group get-together we will try and join!
Hey Joe, there is a short cut through the Rembrandt to move between Soi 18 & 20. We used this on a number of occasions when we were last there. Down the side of the building. Cheers
The Rembrandt on Soi20 is where I stayed for my 5 week visit. From what I could gather I was in the older building of the Rembrandt. I stayed in their Grand Suit, including breakfast for about $72/night.The room was about 80 square meters with a kitchenete. I was on the 31st floor which provide a pretty nice view of the city.
The VIP motorcade probably distracted, but 200 yards into soi 18 on the left there is ‘No Idea’ great quality western gastro-pub food, a bit expensive but good.
I walked around today and it seems to me that,. from my own limited experience in downtown Bangkok, the strreets were strangely uncrowded, maybe everyone is waiting for the 31st.
Artis is a great coffee shop popular with the digi nomad crowd. I used to stop off everyday on my way to my coworking space. Highly recommended.
Thanks for the tip

Hey that's great. It looks like we'll have a get together next Thursday at 7:00pm at Stellas's On Soi 41. I'll make an announcement soon

Yes, I should have mentioned that. I use it too. We hang out at the Blue Boar on Soi 18 and pop out by the Deck on Soi 20
Thanks for taking us to another cool street Joe.
I appreciate you watching

That's a nice area. Sounds like a nice hotel

I know I've pointed that place out in other videos. It's on my list to try
Area looks really “homey “ and beautiful greenery helps😊 How far is that Nakamura bakery?
It's a nice place. The bakery is next to the Royal Oak on Sukhumvit Soi 33/1
The Puzzle Room is not a Board Game shop, but rather an Escape Room establishment.
Thanks for the tip
