I stayed at the Hyatt Place in November for 20 nights. I was thinking to go down this street, thanks for walking it for us :-)

That's a great place to stay. I used to stay there when it was a few years old. Nice hotel.

I’m writing this from O’Sheas on Monday afternoon, did a canal walk for
Sukhumvit 1 to Thong Lor, then down to Sukhumvit and found myself getting thirsty just in time to turn down 33/1. :) Hope all is well with you!

Sounds like a nice walk. I have to make a trip to California in the morning. Looking up rental cars, etc.. I'll be back in town, hopefully in less than a month.

It runs all over the board. A smaller place might be 25k, but a large place can be over 100k

The Soi do have sidewalks, but they have been encroached upon by the private property owners.
You can tell where the sidewalks are by the location of the power poles. The power poles are generally in middle of the sidewalks.
Also area between where the walls are and pot plants, and other plants and shrubbery is also generally sidewalks. The pot plants and shrubbery are on sidewalks.
Also car ramps etc generally disrupt the sidewalks.
Public land encroachment is a massive problem in Thailand. It is pretty blatant in Phuket, Koh Samui etc where the resorts encroach onto public beaches eg large concrete retaining walls.

Am moving to Bangkok in March. Would love some videos on rental condos around Asoke and Benjakitti park. 15~20k budget. Thanks

Have a great move over. My girlfriend is starting here realtor side job in April. So we'll have some condo videos starting in April and May. 15-20k is going to be tight anywhere near the park. Asoke is expat central rent wise. Plus, that's the most popular dog park in Central Bangkok.
