Bloody hell, this is a great cover. I'm old enough to have been a fan when this song first hit... still powerful, and you've done it righteous justice.
This is why events unnerve me They find it all, a different story Notice whom for wheels are turning Turn again and turn towards this time All she asks is the strength to hold me Then again the same old story World will travel, oh so quickly Travel first and lean towards this time

Yeah he's playing lower notes where there should be higher notes. Then again I was in a band that did a cover of She's Lost control (back in like 1996!) and I played essentially the bass part on guitar and the bassist doubled me an octave down. it wasn't horrible.
@@SuperMinecrafter200 This masterpiece of a song was written by Ian and performed by Joy Division and was Ian’s final gift. Will never be a New Order song for me.
@@steve261brown I understand that, it’s unfortunate they never had a proper recording with Ian on vocals, but I’m glad New Order recorded it, made it their own as well, although they’re a separate band, they captured the essence of the song and Ian’s spirit, they all loved Ian, had the best times of their life together, and their version, the only official version, is as close to a song will ever get to perfect, the only thing that could’ve made it perfect, the epitome of music, would be Ian on vocals, but there’s nothing wrong with calling this a New Order song, because it’s amazing in their own version
Big New Order Fan... very hard to cover... hats off to you guys! Pretty damn good... like the keyboard... you guys suttle touch and twist... good job!!
Qué buen cover de semejante temazo, y la siento fiel a la original y a la vez con buenas aportaciones instrumentales (ese teclado 2:20 , 3:12 mola). Estos chicos son buenos
I think if you had done this before New Order, it'd have been just as well accepted as theirs. Their are noticeable differences, but so minor as to be insignificant. You captured the feel of the song perfectly.
I love this so much! And the thing that got to me is the keyboard player's WordPerfect ball cap. I think I'm in love ;) As an IT guy by day I can't say enough about this special touch.
It’s always tricky to cover a JD or New Order song. Lots of people won’t be happy about it, but this one is actually pretty good! Good job Day Wave!
it was soulless
Probably my favourite New Order/ Joy Division song. Nice work.
Joy division song indeed!, New Order makes a cover.
You should give the Radiohead Ceremony cover a listen.
Hester Julia JOY DIVISION.
@@samkoani truly awesome cover

You can see the joy of playing of the bassist :') just beautiful
Joy Division is my all time fave. Ian’s music will always live in my soul. You nailed this one! Absolutely love! Thank you.
Im 13 and i don't know how i got into types of music like this, but i love it
Sick man
Time for more. Next up Depeche Mode then Pet Shop Boys. :)
same
Very good taste in music.
A beauty. This song was the turning point, from punk to modern rock. From Joy Division to New Order. Now to Day Wave. Great choice for a cover.
Im so amazed at how accurate this cover is yet its their sound it feels right
It's hard to find a good cover, Day Wave nailed it. RIP Ian Curtis.
Radiohead did a great job with this song too...
And don't forget Galaxie 500
Venn is a good one too
Chromatics also did it
Radiohead best so far
Good job kids! More bass on the high notes! Don't forget that on JD/NO the bass is the guiding force.

This version and the Chromatics man. Best covers ever! 😍😍
Galaxie 500
I'm sick of people slagging the drummer. One of the best New Order covers I've heard.
soulminer 1970 NOT NEW ORDER FFS....
@@steve261brown Joy Divison composed the original piece but New Order were the only ones to properly record it, so screw off with that pretentious BS

Minha banda preferida. O som de vocês é demais, tenho lembranças maravilhosas com elas!

Day Wave are a great great band. This only exemplifies their perfect taste and influences.
I don't know who they are but from now on I'll listening more about them.
Great cover!
That was pretty good thanks for sharing.
Great effort 👏🏻👏🏻
This is really good.
You NAILED it lads.
Great stuff.
Vocês estão de parabéns!
Muito mais que um cover!!! Uma homenagem!!!!
Jackson Phillips played all the instruments and did the production on the studio version, he is a super talented guy.
i can hear so many times this cover, is so so socool and awesome, Thx

This so GOOD !!!

Good Job guys. Sounds good.
so great
The Best song of the 80s (my opinion, of course). Regardless... just a great fucking cover.
Good job. This is such a great song.
Wow. So good
Great version lads
Many versions of this classic these guys hammered it in. As good as Galaxie x a x
great job
Brilliant cover. Loving how they stuck close to the original.
great job.
rindu
Very Nice
New order in Kexp. Plsss!
Way to go! Living in the 80s .. Joy Division\ New Order uberalles. Pump up the bass >Peter Hook style
Nice guys
That’s pretty close to Ian’s voice, but Ian Curtis built in a lot of power at the end of each line or phrase. Pretty good mind
Wow🤯
很好的音乐
❤❤❤❤❤
Great fucking job.
thumbs up!
very nicee
Johnny Pierce from the drums on lead??
no
Maravilhoso!!!
Love Radiohead's cover but this is truer to the original. Really stripped down other than the keyboard accents. I like it.
this isn't a cover this is a damn copy xD
Howling Owl the vocals seem to be better but the instrumental is unenergetic
how's it better?
Kidz got a good voice! He is not trying to be tone deaf
Listen to the bass and you'll hear that it's not a copy.
Pacific Rain better ?
Louder please, crank it all the way up
its amz that jackson phillips(Vo.) have only played guitar for few months at this time.
Brasil
guachin forever
Solid cover, now listen to Radiohead’s cover of this song.
This songs hard to listen to
Ian knew he didn’t have much time
Probably the best cover I've ever heard of this song they sound better than the Radiohead cover of Joy division
nah
Really good. I don’t think they shoulda used synthesizers tho.
that’s what makes it theirs
Great rendition!
unrelated, but at 4:04 drummer gives a look just like Christian Bale (Patrick Bateman) in American Psycho!
Its ok..👌
I think they nailed it. Vocals are actually better.
This is such an easy song to make sound like shit. So hard to cover it right. They did a good job!
Dude the guitar on the left fucked up like 5 times lololol
trouble is .. Radiohead covered this .. check it out
Didn’t realise Jared Kushner played drums
Nicely done - plenty don't get it
alright version with more vocal emphasis than some of the others/
Check out the Galaxie 500 song instead of this one because that's original stuff. m.ruclips.net/video/Ss1MbL4NYf0/видео.html
