My buddy might've showed this to me a year or so ago, and I totally forgot about it. I don't love that an opponent can get rid of it for 5 life. Have you had luck with it? And when looking it up, I was reminded of Words of Waste. 1 less mana and an opponent needs a enchantment removal to get rid of it. I might give that a spin.
@@oldmagemtg7008 I am a fan of Words of Waste, and have had success with it, although I paired it with Geth's Grimoire, which is not legal in premodern. But I bet it could be paired with other draw effects instead. It is true, your opponent can pay the life to remove Volrath's Dungeon, but not until his turn. That leaves you a window on the turn you play it to activate it as many times as you want. In that way, it can feel like a sorcery. However, you can force your opponent to put his entire hand on top of his library, not only denying him current resources, but also preventing him from seeing more cards from his deck. Meanwhile, you probably discarded some things you actually wanted in your graveyard.
right after lobstercon, european premodern championship happened, there's full coverage of it with commentary on youtube. Very entertaining!
Woohoo! Old Men Magic!!!!
Heeelllll yeah brother!
how is atogatog doing? great frog fan.
Atogatog is in limbo at the moment. Focused more on a few Premodern brews. But I need to get back to it stat.
Here's a weird enchantment that has some synergy with Avatar of Will: Volrath's Dungeon. It looks innocuous, ... but it's really not. 😉

Can’t you play greed in premodern for the life loss and drawing?
You can and that's a good call. I always associate that card with Legends and forget that it's been reprinted many times. Including in Fourth Edition.
